Today, I re-bought two DVDs I should have sold in the first place: the complete first and seasons of Friends.

I used to own the first four seasons, but foolishly sold them all in November, 2003, when my faith in the show was at an all-time low.

Now I'm glad to have them back in my collection. I won't be selling them again.

Good for you.
I bought Seasons 1&2 last Saturday.... and Im about half way through the first season.
It gets better and better with each episode.

My favorite so far is "The One With The Blackout"
because, of course -- Gum Would Be Perfection.

Wait until you get to season three's "The One Where No One's Ready." One of my all-time favorites.

Im not sure when, but I plan on picking up Season 3 and Season 4 the next time a store has a deal with something like "Buy Any 2 Friends sets and save $10" (thats why I got the first 2 seasons so fast.... i became a fan and they were immediately cheap)

Gum would be perfection...LMAO! That has got to be one of my favorite lines in a Friends episode.
"But no! For me...Gum is perfection!" :D

I really like that episode too. I think I've heard that episode was meant to be sort of a tribute to Seinfeld. I'm really considering buying seasons 1&2 on DVD, I own seasons 3-6 so I guess I should pick up 1&2 as well since I haven't seen a lot of episodes from the first two seasons.

You won't regret it. Some of the series' best episodes are from those two seasons.

I have up to season 7, but I think that'll be it for my Friends on DVD. I really can't think of any episodes from season 8 or 9 that I really want to see again. Even tho I dislike season 7, I do think that the wedding of Monica and Chandler is in a way, a closing to the series.

Yeah that blackout thing was on all the NBC shows that night. Like a nationwide blackout or something, cuz Frasier had one, Seinfeld I think had one, and whatever god awful other Thursday night show NBC had at that point.
