Well I know mine will be (When I get my show idea picked up) LOL...

But I know this ran 14 seasons. I am guessing it's either this or Dallas.

But this show has the best theme of the 2. Dallas always kept theirs the same I think. Knots changed it so many times. I like the slow theme they used towards the end, but they shouldnt have went back to the original fast-paced theme for the final season. They kept experimenting with themes as I can see on the page online with all the themes they used.

However, if I were to talk about suspense, I'd have to give the aqward to Dynasty. Knots doesn't have much suspense in my opinion (It's mostly about friendly neighbors with problems of their own). Dallas sees to family-like and cheerful sometimes, but Maybe thats because I haven't seen a season finale yet?
Iv'e seen many episodes that just end with laughs and stuff (Which is something that ruins it for me).

No it's not. Gunsmoke ran for 20 seasons (1955-1975).

Gunsmoke's more of a western than a drama.

In terms of pure, no questions asked, dramas, It was KL until this year. As of now, it's Law & Order: Original Recipe...

Dallas did change it's theme each season. If you listen to theme songs for each season, you will hear the difference.

Yea but Gunsmoke was still a drama just like KL is considered a Soap Opera but its still a drama.
