I know everyone is probably sick of me talking about The New Leave it to Beaver, but someone sent me some episodes that I didn't own, and I noticed something interesting. In one of the episodes, Eddie says that he hasn't had a gun held to his head since his wedding. So then I thought that he might be saying he had a shotgun wedding, but I wasn't sure. But then in another episode, his father (George Haskell) told him that he never takes responsibility for his actions and Eddie says "That's not true, I married Gert, didn't I?" and his oldest son looks at him in surprise. Actually, Beaver looked pretty surprised as well, but Wally seemed to have already known. I just thought that was an interesting point, although not surprising, since its Eddie.
And in another episode, Eddie says that he had a bum buy him his first six-pack of beer. Wally says he knows because Eddie threw up all over his (Wally's) backseat, and Eddie says "I loved high school". So apparently there was a lot more going on in Mayfield than what we see on LITB (at least according to the new show).
