Whats the title of the episode where they all play poker??
Its a fairly early episode (it might even be the second)

Im just wondering what episode number and title it is.

I just watched it at 7 on FOX and I think its probably the best episode of the series.

Episode 18, "The One With All The Poker"

Definately one of their all-time classic episodes

EDIT: So slow.

I believe that episode was "The One With All The Poker" from the first season. Number 1x18, to be exact. The one with Marcel dancing to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", right?

The One With All The Poker.

This episode ranks in my top 2 episodes of this show. The wit, sarcasm, physical comedy - this episode of the show is absolutely classic.

"Yeah we'll see who has the last laugh there monkey boy"

"Your money's mine Green - Your fly is open Geller! AH! I made you looooook"

"Oooh I'm a man, oooh I have a penis! ooh I have to win money to exert my power over women"

"You kind of stepped on my point there, Mon"

I have to dig out my tape of this epi now and watch it :o)

yep, syndication always is very spotty with Friends, they never go in order, but they seem to skip around. My local station showed a season 4 episode one night, and the next showed a season 6 ep.

Speaking of Season 4.... I think Ive seen the episode where Ross says Rachel instead of Emily at the altar about 17 times.
And Ive only seen about 30 episodes total.

Get the dvds, it is a much more enjoyable experience if you watch the episodes uncut and digitally remastered! Plus, it is so cool to have all the episodes at your fingertips in nice little seprate season slip-cases.

You'll find the more you watch it the more you'll love it. This show is an icon. I still cannot believe it's over.

I have noticed that.
Ive been watching Friends a lot more in reruns.... I tend to like the earlier episodes better.
Because you can watch one from start to finish and it doesnt keep you wondering "what happens next?!"

the best thing about the DVD's is the price, generally $30 everywhere. When season 1 came out, Warner wanted $70 for it, but by season 3, they dropped the prices on the first 2 seasons.

Plus, on DVD, the episodes are slightly different in the fact that they flow together, as opposed to having the obvious "commercial cutoff", each episode on DVD has footage previously unseen on NBC.

The only "big" extra is the documentary on season 5 (which should've been on season 6, since the documentary was about the making of the first episode of season 6), but the DVD's are affordable and are a good enough deal if you like the series.

Whenever a new season comes out, Best Buy usually has a deal thats something like "Buy all 7 and save $90".... I might just wait until Season 8 comes out and buy them all at once to get the most for my money.
I better start saving now....

Poor Barwars' pockets are going to be empty! :D

Just make sure you have enough money for Cheers and Frasier in a few weeks, young man.

Me? I used to have seasons 1-4, as well as the two best ofs that came out before the box sets were released, but I stupidly sold them to a former friend in November, when I was short on cash.

Guess who just got reacquainted with one of his old favorite shows and has to double-dip on season sets?

Definitely understandable. Put it off for as long as possible. The last thing you need is another favorite show.

Well I broke -- and bought Seasons 1 and 2 for a very reasonable $43.60 (with a $10 giftcard)

Ive only watched the first 3 episodes.... but I love it already.

Even though Im a big complete-ist (is this a word?), Ill probably only get the first 6 seasons.
Its not that the last 4 seasons are bad, I just dont think I like them enough to buy them.

Something strange is happening. 2 weeks ago Friends was on my list of my least favorite shows. Now I've found myself taping the pilot and the poker episode. What is going on here? And to top it off, I watched the Cosby Show last night.
