Three's Company was mentioned in one episode when Monican and Chandler were going to move in together and Rachel thought they would all be living together. She started singing "Come and knock on our door"...

"Three's Company" was also mentioned on the 2nd episode, "TOW The Sonagram And The End":

[Scene: Monica and Rachel's, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and Monica are watching Three's Company.]

Chandler: Oh, I think this is the episode of Three's Company where there's some kind of misunderstanding.

Phoebe:...Then I've already seen this one! (Turns off the TV.)

It was the very first one. Can't remember which episode, but in the opening tag, Ross starts doing the Odd Couple theme song.. interestingly, the whole entire cast pulls it off without a problem. I wonder if anyone from Friends likes Neil Simon's work!

That scene is hilarious! I can't for the life of me remember the episode either, but it was fantastic.

"The Odd Couple" song was in "The One With The Dozen Lasagnas." BTW, Ross tried to segway into "I Dream Of Jeannie" with no success! LOL

It seems as though I also recall them mentioning "The Love Boat" when Joey was in that suit. BTW, it was Chandler who was dating Ginger (an ex of Joey's), the girl with the wooden leg in "TOW Phoebe's Ex-Partner."

Firnds also mentioned Three's Company but I don't remember the episode. All i know is that Chandler says..."What would Jack and Chrissy do?"

I just saw an episode where Joey was upset or something and he was watching Cheers and he felt better. They were playing the theme song from Cheers. It's the episode where Ross goes to England to get married to Emily.

There's actually another Three's Company reference in the one with the Five Steaks and an Eggplant. In the restaurant when Ross asks Chandler why the hot girl called him at his apartment (as opposed to Chandlers when she thinks she's calling Bob) and Chandler explains Ross says something to the effect of "now what do we do if Mr. Furley comes in?"

I wonder if there is some relation (and there might be, I really don't know) to a Three's Company writer or something behind the scenes at FRIENDS? There seems to be a lot of references to that show.

I guess this would count but there were 2 references somewhat in the episode where Ross & Rachel break up.

First, when Ross brings the picnic basket to Rachel's work and causes a fire on her desk. She's on the phone and she says to the person on the phone "I'll have to call you back, I've got Shemp in my office"(Shemp, from the 3 Stooges).

Then later, the apartment, Rachel tells Ross that you don't bring a picnic basket to work, maybe, unless you're a park ranger(a reference to Yogi Bear).

Also, there's a slight reference to "I Dream of Jeannie" in the episode where Monica & Rachel were living in the guy's apartment and Monica was trying to figure out what the light switch turned on and she was putting holes in the wall. At the end of the episode, she was turning the switch on & off and in the other apartment, Phoebe was nodding her head and her arms folded like Jeannie towards the TV because the switch was turning the TV on & off.
