Oh boy, I started taping L&C last year when it had it's final run on TBS. I got almost the whole series.
Boy Meets World, I've been taping off Disney for awhile, and won't need to tape anymore now that the DVDs are coming out.
Sorry, I don't watch videotapes very much, I am a DVD person :)

I wish I had taped more of those when they were on ABC. I wish they'd put them on DVD too.

Actually I think I'm right, I read something about that not too long ago. Videotapes are becoming obsolete, and so are videcassette tapes

Well everywhere I look, I see these dvd/vcr combos so I can only assume that they will keep selling videotapes.

Hmm you could be right :)
I think I read it in tv guide or something. That sales for videocassettes have dropped dramatically since DVDs became so popular :)
barwars 06-02-2004, 03:17 PM I read somewhere that over 80% of VCR use is only for recording, ever since the rise of DVD.

LOL, that's all I ever use mine for. And with TV shows coming out on dvd like wild-fire, I won't even need a VCR in the next few years.

I'm willing to bet it will get to the point that networks will offer DVD's for shows when they air... like after 6 episodes into a sitcom's season, they'll give a phone number to call to order the season in progress, lol

Honestly, that wouldn't surprise me at all, LOL. I mean, Friends is almost complete, Dick Van Dyke will be complete and it was just release last year, I mean, dang... Now we have dozens of DVD releases.

I'm afraid you are going to be right. I was in K-Mart today and all their VHS tapes were gone. :(
MotownMurph 06-19-2005, 01:57 AM I know Wal-Mart is going to stop selling VHS tapes in the fall, as well, so I can agree that the medium is becoming obsolete. I, myself, only use my VCR once a night to tape Murphy Brown.
Also, dawsongirl, L&C has already come to DVD! The first season was just released on June 7.
