MonarC 05-05-2004, 07:41 PM hahaha yeah really...
HootervilleFan 05-05-2004, 08:15 PM SNL is a load of very unfunny rubbish and should have died about 15-20 years ago. :p There's always Nick At Night and TV Land! And...give Mad TV a shot. It's much more amusing than SNL.
Ewan's My Man 05-05-2004, 08:25 PM Friends is ending! *spins* YAAAAAAAY!
No, I don't hate it as much as I say I do, I just hate a certain person in my school who watches it.
That sucks that all your shows are ending. :(
Dutabi84 05-05-2004, 08:32 PM Seinfeld re-runs.

Really? Interesting. Hope you don't carry through with it, because it's on quite often. Tuesdays thru Fridays I think. :D There are some brilliant impersonations done on Mad TV. That's what makes it for me. There are dumbass skits as well. That's par for the course because the writing is lame these days for most comedies. I blame it on younger writers who haven't studied any of the classic comedy writers like Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, and yes...Steve Martin. The skits get heavy into politics and go on way too long. The average attention span is about 3 minutes.
Mad TV and current SNL are both equally unfunny.

It's on Comedy Central freakin' 24/7 (well, almost every time I channel surf past that channel, anyway) and after a bad experience with Mad TV back in December, I will NEVER watch it again and I haven't. :o
They're gunna run Mad TV into the ground the way Comedy Central frequently airs them...ohno:
HootervilleFan 05-06-2004, 01:30 AM Well what kind of "bad experience" can one have with a comedy show on your television set? Are we being dramatic here...or did someone on Mad TV assault your gramma, take over your bank account, hijack your plane, or run over your puppy?

Ummm...Let's just say I had a really bad case of the flu when I was watching a TV show about throwing up... -_- And with my stomach as weak as it already was (with the flu and all), I threw up AFTER seeing the people on Mad TV throw up into each other's mouths. EWWWWWWWWWWWW
So now I associate Mad TV with my having the flu (it was my first time watching Mad TV to boot) and I will never watch it again!
HootervilleFan 05-06-2004, 01:47 AM Well I don't blame you for that. Some of the skits are just plain foul. That was one of them. I do remember that one. puke:
