Do they take after you or not? A lot of parents want their children to take after them and be a "clone" of them. I hate that. This will be my last thread about this stuff.

To answer your question my children each have a personality all their own. They do have pieces of me. By that I mean I can see some of my personality in them.

I also see some of their granparents personalities in them. Plus the way they move and smile I see their grandparents in them. They are each unique. :)

As far as my exact clone I do want them to be independent as they mature. I would like them to have good jobs and schooling too.

An example is...... I wanted my daughter to be a ballet dancer. HA!!!! Forget it!!! That was my dream and it's not hers so I have to contend with it. :)

This is funny. My daughter takes after my husband and my son takes after me. Usually it's the other way around!:D Now, I definitely take after my dad. I am nothing like my mom personality-wise. My mom is the sentimental, romantic, gooey type and that's just not me! I am more like my dad. stubborn, realistic, matter-of-fact.

I love my children but also admire their individuality

it's not genetically possible for someone to not take after their parents. :grr:

Not in my case. I look and act like my mom, in the sense she is very masculine, and my dad is girly.
