View Full Version : The sadest moment of frienfs
SOCCERGIRL555 05-02-2004, 05:20 PM What do u think the sadest moment of friends is?
Mine is the look on Rachels face when she finds out Ross is cheating on her.
What is yours????????
savy333 05-03-2004, 12:51 AM Mine is when Monica and Chandler get the call from the fertility clinic and realize they can't have a baby. They just hold each other tight and start to cry and then the camera fades out.
Dean Winchester 05-03-2004, 03:52 AM I think it was "The One The Morning After" when Rachel found out that Ross cheated on her when he was "on a break"
GrandGame1440 05-03-2004, 03:26 PM DEFINITELY "The One The Morning After." :crying:
Céline 05-03-2004, 04:14 PM The saddest moment for me was:when Rachel was waiting for Ross with flowers at the airport but,he came back with a chinese girl (don't remember her name).Poor Rach, she was so despointed and embarrased:(
Friendsfan#555 05-03-2004, 05:01 PM The sadest moment was when Rachel flew to London to tell Ross she loved him and then she saw him kissing Emily and she decided not to say anything.
I think the sadest episode in genneral was TOW the morning after
Celine and Friendsfan555 mentioned some good ones.
I'd say it's a tossup between those two.
GrandGame1440 05-04-2004, 12:42 PM Oh Yeah! I forgot another sad one: "The One With The List."
mad4mad 10-16-2004, 06:03 PM Well I'm a sap for Chandler and Monica so I would have to say in TOW the Thanksgiving Flashbacks in a flashback scene when Monica hears Chandler call her fat. I almost went hysterical!!!
slackermonkey 10-18-2004, 03:37 PM "The One With the Morning After," hands down.
CarJackSnyder 10-18-2004, 05:54 PM The One With the Morning After :crying: and like Céline said
The saddest moment for me was:when Rachel was waiting for Ross with flowers at the airport but,he came back with Julie
zuco74 10-18-2004, 07:41 PM The one where Rosita dies and the one where Joeys fridge breaks.....
:)
slackermonkey 10-18-2004, 08:10 PM EDIT: Double posts make baby Jesus cry.

As much as I should respect opinions, I have absolutely no idea how you equate Joey's chair or fridge breaking as the saddest moments of "Friends."
Unless of course, you're kidding, in which case I apologize.

Well if I was a girl, then I'm sure my answers would have been the obvious...
TOW the morning after and all those other sad ones.....
:)
slackermonkey 10-18-2004, 08:20 PM You don't have to be a girl to find something emotional. Be secure in your masculinity. :p
Even as a guy, I still don't see appliances breaking as sad. Both of those moments were played straight for laughs.

LOL....
Yea and I was kiddin by the way. Those happen to be 2 of my Fav episodes and I'm sure Joey was sad when the chair and fridge broke...
OK on a serious note, I think a sad moment was when Ross comes to the aid of the friends when they break down on the way to the sking trip. And Ross and Rachel are fighting and the friends are caught in the middle.
Anyway, for me that was the first time you see real tension between them...
:)
slackermonkey 10-18-2004, 08:27 PM Oh good, I was hoping someone wasn't weird enough to choose the barcalounger breaking over, say, Phoebe's farewell speech to the triplets.
Joey wasn't sad when his fridge broke, btw. He just kept hitting up his friends for loans. He was sad when the chair broke.
"The One Without the Ski Trip" has never been one of my favorites, but I like that episode for the reason you said. It's a rare chance to see genuine tension in the group.
rossnrach4ever 05-11-2005, 03:56 AM Definitely the Morning After ... but also TOW Ross Wedding when Rachel hugs Ross it is so sad and she had tears in her eyes when she told him congratulations instead of I love you.....
and of course the keys in the empty apartment.
shordie02 05-12-2005, 08:43 AM TOW the Morning After.
barwars 05-12-2005, 01:30 PM Really.... I found them breaking apart the foosball table in "The Last One" to be the saddest scene in the history of the show. It just seemed so.... final.
Zvlkx 05-25-2005, 03:08 PM The one where Phoebe gives birth and has to give up the triplets. The scene where Rachel says she can't keep one, and the scene where Pheebs has them all lying on her lap were so sad and touching.
tiff7 05-25-2005, 05:09 PM The Morning After, The Finale, all those that y'all said! Love you Monica, Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe & Joey 1994-2004

Ohio8 05-30-2005, 12:02 PM I can't pick out a moment, but one of the saddest episodes is "TOW Nana Dies Twice." :(
SpunkiiMonkii7078 05-30-2005, 02:46 PM I can't pick out a moment, but one of the saddest episodes is "TOW Nana Dies Twice." :(
I love that episode! It's funny and sad at the same time. I love when all the Sweet & Low packets fall on Ross!
Jessica
danee 05-31-2005, 03:56 AM I don't have a saddest moments...there are many sad moments...but yesterday I saw that episode, where Monica and Chandler were by the Doctor and the found out that it is hard for them to have a baby and then when monica started to cry at the end .. that was really sad
LucyCompanyPhan 06-11-2005, 11:53 PM the last episode without a doubt for more than 1 reason. 1) When Ross thinks hes lost Rachel. 2) When Rachel tells him she loves him over the phone and hes screaming "did she get off the plane 3) When they say goodbye to the apartment.
Classicshowsgurl15 10-07-2006, 08:49 PM TOW The Morning After. That is so sad. And the last one where Ross is telling Rachel that he is so in love with her and that he doesn't want her to get on the plane and she does. That is sad too.
Blossom 10-17-2006, 07:34 PM The One With The Morning After in the Rachel point of wiev. And the episode where Pablo (Rachels Italian boyfriend) turns up [in the Ross point of wiev] and Ross loses his oppurtunity to tell her his feelings for her. And to combine those two; the episode where Ross leaves to China and Rachels finds out about his feelings for her. He going to China is almost symbolic for their relationship, thats always one of them who is in love with the other who don´t know [about it].
