View Full Version : Best pool scene?
Cactus Jack 05-02-2004, 03:21 PM What does everyone think is the best pool scene
Im gonna have to say in "Caddyshack", when the girl drops a candy bar into the pool, and, everyone thinks its a doody aka poop, and they RUN out , and then later when the pool is clean, Bill Murray eats it and goes "Its no big deal", and Mrs. Smails almost faints :rotflmao:
Brian 05-02-2004, 05:26 PM That part was hilarious. When I saw that I was literally on the floor laughing my ass off for five minutes.

webuster 05-02-2004, 06:15 PM I laughed like hell during that whole scene, but I'd probably still have to say the scene in the rocky horror picture show is the best pool scene.
The Phoebe Cates scene from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High."
;)
Brian 05-02-2004, 06:58 PM :yeahthat
You don't hear about her too often nowadays.

Sadly, no. But that scene is burned into my brain for eternity.

She's married to Kevin Kline.
Penny Lane 05-02-2004, 08:00 PM The best "pool" scene is in" The Hustler" when Fast Eddie(Paul Newman) and Minnesota Fats (Jackie Gleason) are in intense competition in a pool game!;)

Dang I could make a thread of all the funniest scenes in that movie, theres so many of them
It's not my favorite movie by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought the pool scene in the new version of Romeo and Juliet was very well done.

I got another one!
Rodney Dangerfield doing the "triple lindy" in "Back To School."
Pentimento 05-03-2004, 11:42 AM The first one that came to my mind was Laurel Canyon, but the mention of Phoebe Cates reminded me of another good one: The Anniversary Party.

That's because I've done a pretty good job of erasing that movie from my memory.

I've tried doing that before, but it's too hard! :D ...BTW, that pool scene is just... .
dandelion wine 05-08-2004, 02:37 AM Every pool scene in Caddyshack.

Pitooey 05-08-2004, 09:05 AM The one that sticks out in my mind is the Marilyn Monroe pool scene. It was her last movie before she died. She was swimming in her birthday suit.
Janice 05-09-2004, 01:51 AM The pool scene at the end of Swimfan was intense.
I know there are many scenes in movies where someone is trying to drown someone else, but I'm drawing a blank.
HootervilleFan 05-09-2004, 01:30 PM Yep...the Showgirls pool scene...:D And then...Dustin Hoffman hopping on the uh....floatation device (a/k/a Mrs. Robinson?) in The Graduate. I just liked watching him just floating around...with no direction. As he was doing in his life..
Pentimento 05-09-2004, 04:10 PM I've thought of a couple more:
Sunset Blvd. - Not exactly an action-packed scene, but definitely a memorable one.
The Last Picture Show - Cybill Shepherd made her film debut in unforgettable fashion. :)
HootervilleFan 05-09-2004, 07:44 PM Sunset Blvd...yes! Good one...poor Bill Holden. :(

A good scene. :)
Belair 04-04-2005, 06:14 AM Swimfan-Jesse Bradford and Erika Christensen. That was HOT.
~*Emma*~ 04-04-2005, 06:55 AM The pool scene in Meet the Parents when they're playing volleyball and Ben Stiller breaks his Sister in-law-to-be's nose
