FIRST TWINS LAND STAR IN WALK OF FAME

They've given one to astronauts, Thomas Edison, Rin Tin Tin and Lassie. Now, Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen will be the first twins to ever receive a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

The twins, who are no longer supposed to be referred to as "the Olsen Twins," according to their publicist, expect to appear at about noon on Thursday (April 29th) in fornt of the Kodak Theatre, where the Academy Awards are now held each year.

Celebrating 18 years in show business, the two appeared on the TV sitcom "Full House" when they were 9 months old, alternating for the same role.

Turning 18 in June, they have a film "New York Minute," opening on May 7th in which they play different roles -- sisters. Ashley is the studious ever-achiever and Mary-Kate is the rocker rebel.

Fan sites are promoting the event and mary-kateandashley.com (http://www.mary-kateandashley.com) expect hundreds of fans to show up and encouraging people to show up early.

Mary Kate looks terrible. She needs to check into a hospital.
