From my ToonZone.net post:
That loveable cat (no, not Garfield, at least not yet) Heathcliff is coming to DVD again on May 25, this time with the 1985 movie. UAV Corporation and DiC Entertainment previously released two Heathcliff titles, with nine mini episodes of Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats on each disc.
This disc has the movie, two bonus episodes, and DiC Sneak Peeks. The main menu is nicely designed, but has no music in the background unfortunately. You can watch the movie all at once with the "Play Movie" feature. The movie's opening and closing credits are in tact, in case anyone was wondering. There is also a "Scene Selection" feature, which you can choose which scene from the movie you want to go to. It has nine options, including the opening and closing credits.
The next feature is "Bonus Episodes." Two episodes from the Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats series are on this disc, #8b "Home of the Future" and #14b "Who's Got the Chocolate?" The opening and closing credits are not on these episodes though. When DiC/UAV releases more episodes, they should release them in order. The final feature on this disc is a "Sneak Peek." It's the opening credits for Sherlock Holmes, Where on Earth is Carmen San Diego?, Mummies, Evolution: The Animated Movie, Stargate Infinity, Action Man, COPS, Inspector Gadget (labeled: "Gadget Files" and "Gadget's Greatest Cases"), Wheeled Warriors, Sonic Underground, The Legend of Zelda, and Tex Rides Again. After the opening credits for each, it mentions to buy them on DVD today.
As for the video and audio quality of the movie and two bonus episodes. It's not bad. It's what you expect of an '80s cartoon series.
The movie is about Heathcliff telling his three mischivieous nephews stories from the past during a stormy day. There are seven tales that Heathcliff tells them, all show footage from different Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats episodes. It's basically your normal series clip show.
DiC & UAV are doing a nice job in releasing these classic '80s animated series on DVD. This set is a must buy for any Heathcliff fanatic or if you've never seen this movie. I had forgotten that this movie even existed. I'm personally looking forward to DiC & UAV's Inspector Gadget and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show releases, both are out in July. I just hope they release Dennis the Menace soon too!
And now the last verse of that catchy theme:
Hooohohohohohoooohohooohohohoooohohooohohohoooohoh o.
Heathcliff, Heathcliff, no one should...
terrify their neighborhood.
But Heathcliff just won't be undone.
You should realize he can win it with you!
