I saw part 2 today but I didn't see part 1. I checked my episode list and didn't find it so I assume part one is a Happy Days episode. Would have been nice to see part one though.

Yes part 1 is a Happy Days Episode. When I saw Part 1 for the first time i was so mad I didn't see Two, Actually Part 1 of Shotgun Wedding has a syndicated ending. Fonzie actually returns instead of Richie trying to save him.

When Nick at Nite/TVLand would show 'Happy Days' "Shotgun Wedding Part 1" and 'Laverne and Shirley' "Shotgun Wedding Part 2" together, they would still show the 'Happy Days' syndicated ending. Fonzie would be held captive by the farmer, then he would show up after having talked the farmer into releasing him, and then he was being held captive again by the farmer. If they were showing the two parts together, I don't think they should have aired the syndicated 'Happy Days' ending, but they did. I always thought that was strange.
