When did dana plato die?

Dana died on May 8th, 1999.

IMO, if you watch Dana's singing scene in The Music Man, you'll cry your eyes out. I did. It's such a shame she died.

wow. I cried too when I saw her sing in the music man ep. I thought I was the only guy who felt the same way. It's just really really sad.....

This post goes out to everyone. Please read & take seriously. We all have had our feelings hurt at some point in our lives. We
have all probably hurt someone else's feelings to. We all need to go to the saying treat others as you want to treated. As you can see Dana Plato went on the Howard Stern Show. Guest called in calling her a hasbeen,loser,lesbian,druggie & one man even called in saying she should take a drug test.
The next day Dana was found dead in a winnebego outside her boyfriend's parents house. Also years ago their was a singer Karen Carpenter who had a beautiful voice that died from anorexia. All because some stupid reporter wrote she was a chubby sensation. After that she struggled her whole life. So as you all can see one unbkind word could cost someone their life.

I just want to say that Julian I totally agree with what you said. Great words. I have only just rediscovered the show after vague memories of it as a kid. A satelite TV station is showing it like twice a day and I have just rediscovered it and was sad to discover Dana's death, which either way was sad, tragic and unfortunate to say the least.
