sorry if this was already posted...i didn't find a thread for it, but anyways i'll just say it. the miniseries that has Kaley Cuoco in it "10.5" about a huge earthquake hitting the coast will be playing this sunday at 9 pm on CBC in the US and Global in Canada. it actually looks really good; they're starting to do a lot of advertising for it. so i know i'm gonna give it a watch! 9 pm sunday, may 1st on CBC and Global!!

PinkCutieK, I originally reminded everyone out there to watch "10.5" to watch it tonite on NBC. I watched it...she's pretty good. I can't wait for part two tomorrow. (BTW, I'm feeling a little superstitious about May. With the highly-anticipated 20th Century Fox film "The Day After Tomorrow" coming to theaters later this month, I'm starting to feel that Mother Nature will consume on herself and cause a "natural armageddon".)

The movie ROCKED!

According to Pav on the Movies board, it pulled a 12.3 average rating! That's incredible. I CANNOT wait for Part 2!

I saw part of it , but I taped the rest of it. The last part I saw was when the father and daughter ( Kaley ) stopped and the father found the people in their car. That was freaky!

i thought that overall it was pretty good, and kaley gave a really good performance. the only thing was that it was really unrealistic and some of the visual effects were...well kind-of fake looking. it was really interesting though--quake movies and things like that really are. there was also some bad acting by some actors...but they were in lesser roles. the lead roles (like kim delaney and kaley cuoco) played their parts really well.

I loved the movie, but didn't the Space Needle look larger than it really is? The top part where the observation deck is was HUGE. I don't think it's that big in real life.

Also... IF a 10.5 really ever hits L.A.(or even a 9.2 hits San Francisco), more than likely, the effects would be felt to the East Coast.

I totally missed the space needle falling! I thought they decided not to put this in the movie last minute or something...when was it? I must have just been away from the tv for a minute!

If I remember correctly, the space needle falling was at the very beginning of the movie, at the end of the first scene.

I thought the movie was extremely enjoyable. I know pretty much nothing about earthquakes, etc., so the realism thing didn't bother me too much. Plus, I thought the acting was great (like Kaley Cuoco ;)), and I cared about the characters, so it was definitely worth watching.
