Are there any fans of The Colbys/Dallas/Dynasty and Knots Landing? I don't understand why these shows haven't been released on DVD yet. All kinds of shows are coming out, so why not bring these out? Thank God Dallas is coming! I am a big fan of these soaps, so I really miss them on DVD.

I'm recently becoming a fan of Dallas and Dynasty. Never seen the other shows you've mentioned. I don't think they're on the Soap Net either.

Dallas, Dynasty and Knots Landing all air on Soapnet. They did air the Colbys until I think January.

Here's some news on a "Dallas" release

Warner Bros Home Video has plans to release the first season of Dallas on DVD before the end of 2004.

Many visitors to UltimateDallas.com have read the news that region 2 will see the first season released on DVD in August/September, 2004. Warner Bros has not set a US release date for the set, but it will be released before the end of the year, possibly even before the region 2 DVD release.

As always, we'll look for updates and report on anything we find.

As for "Knots Landing" I've only saw it on a list of shows that Warner Bros. are discussing to release but no release is planned yet. And I've heard nothing about "Dynasty" or "The Colbys" being released.

Thanks for the heads up, ClassicTV!

Out of the whole bunch, Dallas is the one I'd love to see released.

Following up on the January news from fan website UltimateDallas.com that Dallas would arrive on DVD sometime in 2004, the fansite now has a new update.

They state that "Dallas will be released in both the UK and US in 2004 and UltimateDallas.Com is proud to be the first to break this wonderful news." They go on to say that the United States/Canada release of "Dallas Season One ( Mini Series and Season One Box Set)" will be in "Aug/Sep 2004".

TVShowsOnDVD has confirmed with the studio that Dallas is indeed on the way. Stay tuned for more information just as soon as we are cleared to provide it. Our thanks to Pete Hurren for his help with this.

Be great to see some early Dallas episode again, as they haven't been shown in the UK in years. Knots Landing was less of a success, and never got repeated at all; just got a first showing. I'd love to see some of it again, but I only really got into it when Kevin Dobson joined the cast. There was a wonderful storyline involving Chris Lemmon as a manic homicidal TV producer. :) Great stuff, and completely bonkers.
