It was 86 on Tuesday. 86!!!!! IN NORTH DAKOTA in APRIL????? I don't think so. Yesterday, it got to 71. Then it suddenly plummeted to 45 and got really windy.

A friend of mine lives two hours north of me in the same state, and where he was, it only got to 39 and it snowed. SNOWED! My part of the state didn't even get any snow!

WTF?

That's nothing.

There was literally a heat wave during Spring Break at the end of March here. It was almost 80 degrees for 5 continuous days. Then it dropped down to the lower thirties with rain for the weekend. Then it went back up to 70 during the week, then back down to 40 during the weekend with rain. And yet again up to 70 during the week, and, you guessed it, high 30's for the weekend with mixed showers. Then on Good Friday, it snowed, Saturday was cold as hell, Sunday was warm up in the 60's, Monday, a high of 40. After the holidays, it stayed consecutively (which is really odd for us) in the 60's until last weekend it decided to snow and it turned out to be one of the biggest snow storms this year in Colorado. We were driving towards Vail Pass (El. 11,000 ft). The snow was so thick you wouldn't even be able to see a deer if it happened to run in front of your car. We reached Eisenhower tunnel, where suddenly, we're on the other side of the tunnel, just 5 minutes down the road, there's greenery EVERYWHERE, dry road, no snow in sight. Yet, if we went back through that tunnel, it'd be the biggest blizzard to hit Colorado in months. We stopped in Dillon to tank up, then continued on towards Vail, and we took one sharp turn until we found ourselves in a new storm system. It lightened up once we got to Eagle, but still. I hate this state. Damn weather is driving me up the wall.

On top of that, it sporadically hails.

 Ours weren't as strong. We had gusts up to 30+ MPH...It did blow really hard during the night, though. Somebody was talking to me about that at school yesterday, and she was saying how she has a wreath on the door with fake flowers in it, and when she came outside in the morning, the wreath & flowers were scattered all over, so she had to put the flowers back on the wreath and re-hang it.

I hate wind. Well, when it's hot I like it. Anyway, we had these winds on the 18th and now we had them today. And about 6 other times in the last 2 months.

The weather here is wild too. It was 36 yesterday morning! 36!!!

I'm in Alabama... we were supposed to be done with 30's a month ago. Over the Weekend, it was 90! That's even hot for here. Normal high is about 80 where it is today. We're in a drought too, about 8" behind on rainfall for the year.

Man, this thread came at the right time. It was like in the 80's yesterday, not it's in the lower 40's with drizzling rain showers.

I'm staring out the window and looks like it snowed within the last few hours, cause there's a blanket covering most of the grass out there.

Yep...Minnesota must've gotten the stuff we got two days ago. It was 70 where I live, 90 in Fargo (ND) AND in a town two hours north of me, it was 39 AND snowing, like I posted about earlier in this thread. INSANITY.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say El Nino is making his rounds this year.............

It's the last day of class......and it's snowing. Pretty hard. God. I was supposed to go biking into the mountains tomorrow. But with the way the weather is looking right now, there's going to be snow up there tomorrow. I hate this damn state. - throws things -

Yep, that's what I meant. I remember reading somewhere that El Nino hits every 7 years, and the last time he hit the US was in 1997. It's the same with El Nina- she hit in 1998, so the next time she will us the US is in 2005.

I can JUST see the Missouri River drying up to nothing this winter....ohno:

That's La Nina.

1997 was a crazy year. I remember having it be 90 one day in December and be 25 the next day with the blizzard of the century. LOL!

We had no snow on the ground....IN DECEMBER! Seriously. At the time El Nino hit, I was living in one of the wettest towns in the state...so, jeez. It was really crazy.

I just checked the forecast, and it's supposed to be a high of 83 on Monday and the rest of the week.

Why do all the weekends get crap ass weather?! Am I destined to never go biking this year?!?!?

Yep, ya gotta love the Michigan weather

It's cause we're on a dang penninusla that we get all screwy weather from all sides. You'd think being in the middle of the state would lesson it a little bit - yeah, right. When we got snow earlier this week I told my dad to bring his coat for when he visits this weekend. He came and it was over 80 yesterday. Right now it's pouring, and still hot. Grrr.

When I was in Europe though, I did miss Michigan weather. Remember, if you don't like the weather in Michigan, wait five minutes - it'll change. ;)
