is anyone else looking at some recently? I just had spring vacation and most of vacation was looking at colleges (how exciting because every single info session sounds like the exact same!) but today I went to BC and met with my brother before because he goes and there and then did the whole tour and info session thing but now it is on the top of my list for one of my favorites cuz it was awesome! But they were like they only accept 28 % of applicants which isnt very much! but where is are people looking or going to look?

I am in college right now. My Finals are next week. I am going to take some more classes this summer.

I've gone through four years of college. Fun times :) I love my university, I may come back here for grad school. I did the tour of colleges when I was in highschool and was really unimpressed. I did a tour of this one and I just knew it was right. I think you really can tell just from visiting it once. Good luck :wave:

I never toured colleges, so luckily CU didn't turn out horrible. I'm at the end of my freshamn year (2 more days of class) and I'm loving it. Go Buffs! :D

Right now I'm going to a junior college called Palomar in San Marcos, California. It's a half-hour drive from my house. I'm going to be going there for two more years.

After that I'm looking to go to a four year Cal State University. My original choice was San Diego State but a school counselor told me that it is hard to get into. Now my first choice is Long Beach State (or California State University, Long Beach, but it is the same thing). They have a good film school there. It's an impacted major, though, but I'm still going to try. If that doesn't happen, I'll probably major in journalism.

Absolutely! I graduated from college with a BA in Psychology and a BS in Human Biology 12 years ago. Although I do not work in either profession right now I would have never even been considered for the job I have right now if I hadn't attended college. I work as a broadcast engineer at a radio station.

College is a great experience for some- at least it was for me. Even though I do not work in my trained profession I still have the experience and peace of mind that I attended college.

Nobody should be mistreated in any way, but Solomon started the fight on this thread. Nobody should be picking on anyone.

I start college next year. Right now, I am trying to figure out where I want to go and I am going to be taking SATs soon. Some of the things I read in this thread are really scaring me. I plan on going to college in another state, far away from where I live at the moment because I need to get the hell out of this dead end place. And I keep hearing mixed things about college. Some people say it's good and fun, some say it's not too good but not too bad, and others say its awful. Someone here said [who was it?] that graduating from college with a degree but having no work experience in that field is like going back to childhood. What the hell? That scares me! I don't want that.

Come on people, help a poor girl out. Honesty! Comfort! Hell, lie to me if you have to, just tell me if college is as bad as it seems.

My mother went to college and said it was challenging, but great. Who knows, maybe she was making it up to encourage me. But as far as I know, I'm going.

Do you think you need help? If alcohol is a problem, you may need some advice from someone on how to properly control it. There is nothing wrong with having a few drinks, and getting a little buzz with a few of your friends once in awhile. But if you keep using it constantly to cover up some painful emotions in your life, than that is definately not the solution to your problems. I hope you know that.
