don't bother going to the General board, I have been attacted by several posters because I keep defending Friends when others call it overrated crap.
I just don't get it. If one goes and bashes a show like Three's Company (which I like by the way), All In The Family, Happy Days, I Love Lucy or any other "classic" sitcoms out there, they are going to be chewed up, spit out and will never let it down, but it's perfectly fine if you bash a series like Friends or Seinfeld (even tho it's been off six years), and if you're actually defending it, then you're going to be the one getting hell.
I explained that the end of Friends is the end of an era for a lot of us in our early/mid 20's who grew up on the show, and a rude 13 year old started chewing me out saying how she doesn't care if I grew up on Friends because she thinks the show sucks, etc... When you're 13, you're not exactly yet having to worry about "I'm not young anymore" like I do at 24.
What is everyones problem who hates Friends? I know this is a pro-Friends board, so it's at least the one outlet where I can vent my frustration without someone who was 4 when the show started blowing up on me for standing my ground, defending Friends, and pointing out how people can be hypocrites about some shows, because one poster in there is notorious for hating Cheers, Mash and I Love Lucy, and he is constantly flamed for it, yet the same people flaming him hate Friends.
if you don't like Friends, good for you, but don't treat those of us who've loved the show for a decade like crap because this next week and a half is pretty sad for us.
