. . . How long does an ordinary, average crush last???

Why I ask this is because I have this huge crush on someone that has lasted for over a year and half. And whenever I see that *special* someone, I just feel like "melting" to the ground. It's horrible.

Last year, this girl always used to pick on me, but now this year in middle school she just left me alone. Never picked on me since, but now it's driving me insane!:wallbang. Yea, like I have a crush on her now. errrrr

I'm not sure. I guess it depends on the person or how good looking the crush is. For me, real life crushes (people I know personally) have lasted only like a year at the most. But famous people last a lot longer. I've had a crush on Hanson for 7 years!

Once I have a crush on someone, I have it until we date and I realize he's a jerk. I'm somehow blinded before we date, then we do, and I hate him. Weird, huh?

It's the truth. I had a major crush on someone a few years ago and though it has faded since then and I am no longer infatuated with this person, I still kind of have a soft spot for them and if their name is mentioned in my presence I will pay close attention. For some people, crushes stick to you... like super glue.

Well, I have a big crush on the American Idol Jon Peter Lewis, and I bet that crush will last a really long time!
I've had crushes on a few other movie stars, and it lasts pretty long!
Sometimes even over a year or two.
