I just saw "Jack Goes to the Dentist" in syndication and I have a few questions. First off all, I was a bit surprised that Jeffery Tambor had hair in that one. He was bald in previous episodes, then in later years he was bald again. I'm wondering if he was wearing a wig or something. It didn't look like he was, but you never know.

Also, what was up with the ending? Janet and Terri had to rush to the dentist's office because they were afraid of what Phil would do to Jack. And I thought, they were right, when I watched you could tell the guy was furious and he was 'attacking' Jack so to speak. Yet, after the commercial, when Phil and Jack came out everything was fine. (Well, except for the fact that Jack didn't get a balloon) Did they edit something out? I don't know what was going on there.

Yes the TAG scene was cut. In the Tag scene, Janet and Terri buys Jack some Balloons on the way home from the dentist since he wasn;'t able to get any from the dentist office . Then the dentist called and Terri answered the phone and Jack grabbed the phone from Terri because he Thought he was asking Terri on another date. But He was actually calling to tell Jack he wasn't going to send him a bill.

I could tell Jeffrey was wearing a wig.

Well, thanks for the info. It would be interesting to see that scene, but that still doesn't quite answer my question. What made Phil decide not to be so rough on Jack? He was definately furious when he thought there was something going on between him and Terri. But when he came out of the office with Jack, everything was okay. That part I don't quite understand.

Phil said why he wasn't so rough on Jack. He said because he was a professional and didn't let personal feelings interefere with his job.

Yeah, but that's when Janet and Terri were there. He was really rough on Jack before. Did he know they were coming or something like that?

I know what you mean. It really looked like Phil was out to punish Jack and was taking delight in hurting him. Then all of a sudden they show him coming out and he acts like 'he wouldn't do such a thing'. :rolleyes:
