Okie, I have two announcements for all of you and I really and truly hope that you will like both of them.

You remember about a month ago, I was asking questions about the Biopic about Freddie for a story I was working on? I put a lot into this story, so please drop by and read it and let me know what you think.:o

This contest will be to make up an ad to advertise the new First Season DVD release of Chico and The Man. You can design a cover for the DVD or just make up an ad for people who may have forgotten the show or are seeing the show for the first time. Since this is a wish(so far anyway;)), You can come up with the extras you would like to see included. Good luck to all and the winner will get a small prize!:D

awesome story Dani i enjoyed every word and thank you so much for posting it at the cafe. as for the contest i have my thinking cap on, of coarse when it comes to Freddie i always have it on. LOL and my glasses too:rofl:

Well I'm not very good at advertising so this is how it is supposed to look The caption reads,

"Celebrate Chico and the Man's 30th anniversary with the release of the entire series on dvd! Bonus material includes Freddie Prinze's screen test and 6 hours of laugh out loud out takes!"

The picture below would be a part of the advertising campaign as well as the cover of the dvd and box set.

Well, so far, ikhuri, no there has been no official announcement, but we're hopeful. Especially since Diff'rent Strokes is being released this year. Chico just has to be!:D

you said it Dani, that CATM is a classic that deserves to be released and what an honor on their 30th anniversery, especially after the recognition Freddie recently recieved!:cool:

...to release it at the time when the show actually debuted 30 years ago--that would be in September, right?

Dear Freddie Fans:

It's been 2 months since my computer's back up and I want to thank you all for posting about Freddie on the 100 Top Comedians as I just tuned in right before Freddie was voted #49! I thought he deserved a lot higher but thought that maybe that was given to him because he would have been 49 right now, am I right?

Anyway, glad to have my computer back home again. I think CHICO first aired on September 13 if my memory serves right. Can't believe I actually remember these things but can't remember things that happened to me last week. HA!! HA!!! Must not be as important to me as getting CHICO AND THE MAN back on the air!!!!!

Thank you all for being so much more computer savy than I am. I don't think I could do any wallpapers or whatever pictures you all post by your message names. THIS IS IT FOLKS, SORRY TO SAY!!

I believe I am doomed to computer failure since I don't know what I am doing most of the time. I don't have much computer savy but I have to thank you all for keeping me informed. It's been so long since I can thank you all for the great job you've all done on the message boards. I wish I could do more on here. I guess a computer course or two woudn't hurt if I can find the time!

Thank you all and I am so proud of everyone who's still trying to get Chico and the Man on DVD's! I just really feel it won't be long now!!!
