April 29th as the season finale? Give me a break. Why so soon?

Remember the good old days when TV shows had their season finales at the end of May / early June? And when a season premier was in early September instead of October and early November? Sheesh!

Probably because W&G had fewer reruns than other shows this season.
NBC has been showing numerous reruns of "Friends" this season because they made fewer new episodes this year, so I guess NBC kept showing new eps of W&G so people would keep watching.

I think it also because NBC is going to be airing the series finale of Friends one week and the series finale of Frasier the other week. Both on Thursdays.
