I've really been enjoying my Season 4 set, which includes some of my most favorite episodes. I'd have to say Season 4 is about my favorite season (although I also have lots of favorites in season 5).

Guess what I found in "The Alan Brady Show Goes to Jail"? The broadcast version cut a song and dance number by Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore! :eek: They not only did the tap dance number in chains, but they did another song before it (without chains). It's called "I've Got Your Number" and it is very cute!

The song and dances by Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore are probably my favorite part of the whole show, so I was really excited to find this one. I can’t believe they cut it from the broadcast version! Now I'm going to go back and watch it a bunch more times. I just wanted you all to know and look forward to seeing it. :happyface

P.S. Yes B&W Fan, I did order my Season 4 with Priority Mail. But for me, the extra $5 was worth it. I don't get time to watch any TV during the week, and ordering it with Priority Mail gets them to me by the weekend before the official release date. So I'm really watching them a week earlier then I would get to normally. Also, Tuesday is my birthday, so I figured this would be a great early birthday present this time :p

Next, I'm really thrilled you are enjoying the set, and I remembered from last time that your schedule worked out best for you to get these via Priority Mail. I think that's wonderful, and am genuinely happy you got them this early, and as a nice birthday gift for yourself. You deserve it.

I seem to vaguely remember the dance number you are talking about. Probably from my early 70's watching the show in syndication before all the cuts.

The funny thing about the edits is, they still do it. I hve been watching the show regularly on TV Land for the last few years and thanks to TiVo I never miss it.

But I do notice some episodes are different when I see them several times. I will find a show I saw a few months earlier is now missing a scene.

Glad they are on DVD now!!
