Have any of you here ever attended a test screening? What movie was it for- and if you ever saw the final edit that went to theatres- were there many differences?

I've never been to one. Always wanted to though.

I would think they would do more test screenings on the west coast than the east.

I could be wrong though.

I did when I was a little girl, somehow they got my name and invited me to a screening of two television shows. It was kind of weird because these were sitcoms that were for adults but kids were the only ones in the audience. Anyway, this was in the late 1970's and we saw the two shows, I don't remember the name of the shows, but what you did was after you saw the show they asked you to mark a questionnaire as to what you though of the show. :wave:

i saw the new york city premire of the lion king when i was young. actually im not sure if it was an early screening or premire, but i know it was a huge thing and i had to dress up.
