View Full Version : Brainstorming for a reunion...

My original plan was to just bug the hell out of ABC to get a reunion aired...but a guy who checked out my HOTC site e-mailed me and thought that my intention was to hold the reunion myself (I responded back mentioning my plans), and told me that he loves HOTC (esp. Tannis Vallely) and conducts live events that he films and tapes. Imagine that! He said he'd be willing to help out in any way he can.

IRL, I know it takes a lot to plan for things like that (fundraising, finding a location, scheduling, tracking people down, etc.), but after his e-mail, I am just crazy enough to try something like that. But since I have no real contact with any cast members like I used to anymore, I'd haven't the foggiest as to how I'd begin. And also, if I did even try to host the reunion (I have some journalism experience from HS and college, so I know how to question and answer with people), they wouldn't take me, a 23 year old, seriously. Wishful thinking...

I wondered about contacting VH1. They did that show "Bands Reunited" (and I'm sure they can do something like "Shows Reunited," since they seem to be so into pop culture).

The point of this was to come up with ideas for questions in case someone did try to do an HOTC reunion, to find out what everyone's been up to, how they liked working on the show, etc.

Post away...

ETA: I found contact info (actual phone numbers!) for VH1 and TV Land/NaN:

The VH1 one is from 2001, but I'm sure that they either don't change their numbers or have a recording to update it if they do.

And ABC:

And Warners:

Ooh! I feel more positive now! I can either call and speak to real people, or send a nicely typed proposal/petition in the mail. People are more apt to respond to that as opposed to e-mail.

How about trying to get the E! network to do a True Hollywood Story on HotC? I mean, I bet there was plenty drama on that set!

Thats just WONDERFUL! If that guy would do it that would be amazing.

I saw "Bands Reunited" (It was a good show!) and that would be great for a show like "Shows Reunited" good idea Dee.

The only thing I could think of is copyrights...do you think that could hold back all you have done?

As soon as I wake up more I will write and try to see what VH1 has to say.

No...the guy who contacted me has nothing to do with TV...he just has comm experience (he used to set up car shows, because he loves Oldsmobiles), and loves HOTC. But if he has the know-how, hey! :) Now, if only I could get together with someone from a network for real...

I have to start planning my strategy.

There is no official website for the show.
