Why u gotta have a credit card or debit card to register with Ebay.com? I'm trying to get some movies from Ebay.com & they talkin about i gotta have a credit card or debit card just to register. I don't have either one of those. So what can i do to register? Ebay.com has some cheap movies i want & that's messed up if i can't get any movies from them cause i don't have a damn credit or debit card.
I haven't registered in awhile, but I thought you didn't have to have a credit card unless you were selling items... if you use a free e-mail address like Yahoo or Hotmail then you have to give your credit card info regardless, but if you use your real ISP address (or company or school adddress) then they don't require that info. I guess there is too much fraud from people using free e-mail addresses and they try and cut down on it.

Oh, so if I registered with my University e-mail, then I don't have to give credit card info? I don't have one yet (I have a debit card) but I'm always really cautious on who I give it to (So far I've only used it at the ATM and campus-related businesses). I've been dying to buy some things off of ebay.

They won't even accept your email if you're with Yahoo.com which is stupid. This is some bulls**t cause i wanna order some movies from there. They got a lot of cheap movies.

That's weird! Open a FREE acct with hotmail or any other service then:D
They don't allow you to register with ANY free e-mail accounts without verifying your credit card info, you have to use your real isp address.

They accept it...just not without a credit card. Doesn't your ISP have email with it?

Essentially, it's who you have to send all the money to each month when the bill comes. AOL, Earthlink, NetZero, Comcast, Verizon, MSN, SBC, MCHSI, the various Bells, etc. are all ISP's. Most likely, unless your ISP is some local-only company (IE: The local ISP Foothills Network), you DO have an e-mail through them available, you just need to log in on the appropriate page, and go through the necessary setup

I thought about this post the other day. I saw 3 things I wanted on Yahoo actions. Different sales people. I started to register. It said I needed my credit card info. I do not want to give that out. Is there any way I can bid without having to post it?
