I can see it happening. It would be wonderful. The best thing is, that with exception of Coach, everyone could be there. No offense to any of the actors, but it's not as if they're doing a heck of a lot these days. They have the time.

I want Sam and Diane to end up together.

I  THAT IDEA. It'd also be great to see how everybody looks now - a few of them have been out of the spotlight for years now.

They should do a tribute to Coach, too - in February 2005, it will have been 20 years ago he passed on. :(

I agree, especially since they didn't pay tribute to Nick Colasanto/Coach when he died. ohno:

Same here! I saw the episode, "I Do, Adieu" and it wasn't over for them by a long shot!

I would love to see a reunion show:)

The funny thing is everybody with the exception of Kirstie Alley wants to do a reunion show.

Good - we don't need Rebecca anyway :p

And it kinda funny, because the show wouldn't need her anyways since she married that plummer..

I disagree that we don't need Rebecca...it just wouldn't be the same without her. She was one of the main parts of the show during a time in my opinion when the show was in its prime and it would feel like something was missing.

I don't think that the show was at its prime after Diane - I think it was still good but the writing, in my opinion, was better in the early years. Oh, and if you're a Rebecca fan, do you want to play her in the character survivor thread?

yea, when DIane left it came down some, but Rebecca added somethin good to show

I think that Diane really was the better of the two, but the show seemed to be better made after she left.

Technically -- Don made it rich and left Rebecca, according to the show Frasier, which in the world of TV is a fact.

I agree completely.
The show with Diane was a perfect 10, everything was great.

Rebecca came -- it stayed a 10.
But I just feel it became "funner", not necessarily funnier, but definately funner.

Yeah, I can agree with "funner" - and that doesn't necessarily connote quality. Well, it's all a matter of opinion. Maybe without Diane's uptightness, there was more opportunity for "fun".

yea, i agree. With Diane gone, they could do more

I didn't know that. Is she too busy filming her Pier One ads I wonder? A reunion show could definitely survive without Rebecca as long as Diane was there in my opinion.

I think to casual fans of the show, not folks like us who know the show inside and out....relate more to the Diane years. It's 'Sam and Diane' to the casual viewer. They are legendary. :)

I agree. And Kirstie isn't too busy w/ the Pier One ads anymore since they dropped her for that guy from "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."

I wonder if they'd incorporate the changes from Frasier--like about Don and Rebecca or the number of kids Woody had.

The best thing about a Cheers reunion is that you KNOW it would be funny.

I don't like reunions for the sake of nostalgia without a story- just to hang around and reminisce. I mean that is fine, but with Cheers you just know there is so much comic potential, how could it ever go wrong?

And with the end of Frasier, there is no better time then now!

Who knows, maybe they could even figure in a spinoff with the reunion. I bet that would be the first time that ever happened.

Actually it was explained in an episode of Frasier, that the plumber Donnie left her after he became a millionaire.

Another explanation for the "funner" thing - don't forget that Cheers' budget went up a lot - it had already started to grow by season 4 and 5. That allowed for a variety of different situations to happen. But again, that's why I prefer the earlier seasons - they had to stick with one set mostly and so the writing had to be a lot more dense, more intelligent and funnier in order to keep the audience entertained and interested. I really appreciated the pompous, intellectual talk Diane and then Frasier introduced to the bar - that was priceless.

Kirstie wouldn't appear due 2 the church of scientology. stupid reason if u ask me. :p NO REBECCA! The show jumped the shark when Shelley Long/Diane left.
