...Clara, Hagatha or Enchantra. Why? Because Serena comes from Maurice's side of the family, remember? So I guess we'll never know.

Also, Uncle Arthur can't be her father.

I would assume that Serena came from the maternal side since Uncle Arthur is her uncle too. But that is a good question, who is her mother!!??

You know what? I've been pondering the thought as well... maybe they were separated at birth, and they're really sisters...

Well in the episode "Where are you, Mrs. Stephens?", where Phyllis and Serena meet for the first time, Phyllis asks Serena which side of the family she comes from, and she said paternal. But a little joke about Maurice followed, so I don't know if she meant it?

Screenwriter: It would have been better if they were sisters instead of cousins. The only somebody on t.v who had a nearly identical cousin was Patty Duke. And their fathers were nearly identical if memory serves me well!

well, Tabitha called her "Auntie Serena" sometimes, anyway, she could just call him "Uncle Arthur" as a term of endearment

That always was a mystery - Serena's parentage. I agree it would've made more sense for Sam and Serena to be twins, but this was a fantasy sitcom. Family trees didn't need to make sense.
