DETOUR

FRASIER AND CHARLOTTE GET STRANDED ROADSIDE WHILE WEIGHING THEIR OPTIONS ABOUT A POSSIBLE SHORT-TERM RELATIONSHIP - LAURA LINNEY ("MYSTIC RIVER") GUEST STARS-Frasier and Charlotte debate their newfound relationship with her upcoming move to Chicago just 3 weeks away. When Frasier breaks down, the two find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere and have to take shelter at the home of an eccentric rural family. Meanwhile, in Frasier's absence, Niles (David Hyde Pierce) is planning Martin's (John Mahoney) bachelor party "entertainment" and Daphne (Jane Leeves) mistakes the potential stripper for her nanny interviewee. Peri Gilpin also stars. TV-PG

Yeah, it was a funny episode.

I read somewhere recently that Laura Linney is thinking about throwing her hat into the sitcom ring.

I hope she does, because she's very funny.

Laura Linney has done a great job of developing the character in a very short time.
