I haven't posted here in a while, but I thought we needed a thread devoted to Yetta. :D She was always one of my favorite side characters on the show, and had the greatest one liners. Feel free to contribute, because I know I don't have them all.

Sylvia: More importantly, why doesn't anyone ever eat this fruit?
Fran: Because their wax!
Yetta: Even the grapes?!

Yetta: I'm sorry I'm late but I had to dig up a brassiere that hooks in the front.

Yetta: Something terrible happened! I just heard it on the news. (stops to think)
Max: What happened?
Yetta:Wait a minute, I lost it.
Grace: Don't worry, Yetta. you told me in case you forgot...(Grace tells them about Fran and Sylvia being held hostage)
Yetta: (shocked) Oh! This is how you break bad news to an old woman?!!

Yetta: Frannie, you can't move in here. Then I would have to move out and go to a home!
Sylvia: Ma, we put you in a home ten years ago.
Yetta: You bastards!

Maggie: So Sylvia, what did you and Morty do on your 1st anniversary?
Sylvia: We went to Puerto Rico.
Maggie: What about you Yetta?
Yetta: We fled Poland. (Seeing as I'm from Poland, I love this line. :lol: )

I already started a Yetta thread, but I don't see any reason why we can't have two. ;) One Yetta line that never fails to crack me up:

Maggie:It's your daughter's 50th birthday.
Yetta:50?! She's got brassieres older than that! If she's 50, then I'm.....What do you know? She's 50!

Yetta:Sammy and I might want a portrait done. All we got now is joint MRI.

(Fran catches Yetta in bed with a man)
Fran:Oh my God! Yetta!
Yetta:What a coincidence, Sol said the same thing not 10 minutes ago!

Anyway, maybe I'm just stupid....but I thought this would be an appropriate place to ask. When Fran says "Where did all the cream cheese go?," and Yetta and Sal hide under the covers, does that mean what I think it means....or am I just making it dirtier than it really is? :lol: Whenever I see that scene, I can never figure out.

Nope, that scene means exactly what you think it does!! ;) And no, you're not stupid. At least you asked, so now you know.

Sorry to bump this up, but I heard a great Yetta line this morning in "Everybody Needs a Bubbe."

(To Fran) "I don't want to say anything, but I think it would help your marriage if you got rid of that blonde your husband's always hanging around with. I don't know if you've noticed, but your kids are blonde."
