I missed the recent awards show, but a friend told me about it. I want to know is it true that he had tears in his eyes when he accepted his father's award, and also I was told he had some kind words about Jack Albertson. Is this correct? I think if TV Land gave this award, and really means it, they should bring Chico And The Man back. Even if it was an odd time slot. That's better than nothing....

Its true. It was a very touching moment.

To me, it was one of the best moments of the night. As soon as he began to speak, it was obvious that he (and his family, from what he said) was very touched and that it meant a lot to him. :)

Yes it's true, the award did bring him to tears as well as George Lopez. George was the one to present the award. It really meant a lot to him too because he has said on many occasions that he wouldn't be in comedy if it hadn't been for Freddie.
Freddie Jr did say something about Jack being a great actor and wonderful person for putting up with his father. :)

I agree....... Fred Jr. was so emotional he couldn't even look up for fear we might see his tears. I also had tears along with him and George. :crying:

It was a wonderful moment, and I think one of the best. The other was when George Lopez paid tribute to another great comedian, John Ritter. Both times, for Freddie and for John, George was moved to tears. It was a very gratifying night. And I am glad that Jr. is helping everyone to recognize the talent his father had. It was moving. I am sure Maria would have been proud. I wondered if she got to see it. I captured it on tape!

Yesh, I noticed George was in tears. I was so glad to see Jr finally showing some emotion for his dad...

It was an awesome tribute and i agree after such positive recognition and seeing just a glimpse of how many people still love Freddie and Jack TV Land should bring back CATM any timeslot that's what VCR"s are for LOL
