Being a newbie, I bet it's been posted before, but I was curious as to what made you love this show?

For me, it was realistic. The first family I saw on TV that was even close to what my real life was like. Not saying my life was like the show, but I knew families like Roseanne. And boy, oh boy, was I a Darlene at that age! Heh, I'm still as sarcastic as her. ;)

I am a newbie as well! I watched Roseanne while it was on primetime..I was in my early 20's...now a mother of 2 at age 35 I have been watching the reruns every night. I always enjoyed the show before...but now as I am older and see what life is really all about, it is just so refreshing/comforting to see people struggle with the same things I do and take it with a grain of salt. I know this is probably corny but I wish I were more like Roseanne in my every day dealings with people and life....I can be way too serious, and watching the show has kind of made me change....I love it, wish there were more episodes or a reunion show, like the brady bunch did!!!

What made me love the show was the funniness that came out of Roseanne and Darlene- they are my favorites!!!!! Also I am such a Becky- I love boys, make-up, etc. But it was just good to see a regular basic family on primetime other than the beautiful people you see on tv that Roseanne mentions ex)Friends- i like that show but I just like a show that deals with average peoples life.
