I saw Jamie Foxx in a recent movie on FX channel called Redemption. Lynn Whitfield was also in this. It was about Jamie was a leader of the crips gang in Los Angeles back in the 80's i believe & he went to prison for killing a lot of people. While he was locked up, he became a changed man & started writing children's books & selling them & making a lot of money. He also recorded a tape of himself telling the bloods & crips to stop the killing & do something positive with their lives. This was a good movie. There was a critic who said the movie wasn't that good that i read in the newspaper. I bet he was a white critic. I get so sick & tired of white critics saying a black film isn't good because they can't relate.

I saw that movie. It was good! And you're right, they can't relate so they pan movies!

By the way Jamie is NOT one dimensional when it comes to his skills. I was surprised how good he was in Any Given Sunday!

Jamie does have some versatility as a actor. Remember his movie Held Up with Nia Long? That movie was horrible LOL. I liked his Bait movie. A lot of critics dogged that movie saying it wasn't any good but i disagree. The girl who was his woman in the movie was Denzel's woman in John Q movie & she was in Set It Off movie with Vivica Fox, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett. She was their friend & she helped them rob banks. Her name is Kimberly Elise. I also kinda liked Booty Call movie. It got kinda boring in the middle of the movie when Jamie & Tommy Davidson kept going to the store for condoms. They just came out with a dvd version of Booty Call called Bootiest Edition where they show scenes from the movie that was explicit that was cut out from the movie that came to theatres. I might have to get that dvd. LOL@them calling it the Bootiest Edition hahahahahahahahahahaha.

I can't wait to see his portrayal of Ray Charles. I heard him do a little impression of Ray on Tavis Smiley show. Not to mention that Jaime can actually play the piano!
