It was an early season episode and Blair's cousin Geri comes for a visit(Geri has something physically wrong with her, but i forgot what it was) and Blair is ashamed of her at first because of that and nearly the whole show.. At the end Geri does her comedy act and asks Blair to help her and Blair realizes how mean she was and told Geri that she was the best person in the world, in a happy ending. That's all i remember StrudelBone 09-27-2001, 09:18 PM Was that what happened in The Return of Cousin Geri? Or was Return of Cousin Geri another ep she was in? I dont know for sure but I dont think thats what happened in this ep. Is Return of Cousin Geri where Geri dates that teacher? angel676 09-27-2001, 09:36 PM Originally posted by callmetootie: What happened in this episode? In the episode "Return of Cousin Geri" Geri dates a teacher at Eastland. Blair is uncomfortable with Geri dating him. The teacher and Geri go to a dance. Then, later on Geri and the teacher go away for the weekend. Everyone is worried about Geri. When Geri returns Blair kind of goes off on Geri. To Blair's surprise Geri has had experience with men. That's all I can remember at the moment. I hope this helps! Kari Ingrid 10-01-2001, 04:10 PM This doesn't make any difference in the big sheme of life but because I am such a big Cousin Geri fan,I wanted to add something to this topic. In the eposoide "Cousin Geri" Blair is not ashamed of Geri. Blair is envious because Geri gets praised so much for suceeding in life despite her Cerebral Palsy. Blair doesn't want Geri to get all the glory when Blair is suposed to be honored for her art work. a NaNcY FaNaTiC 10-01-2001, 05:20 PM I like the first Cousin Geri episode better than this one. I don't know why exactly, but I liked the ending where Blair & Geri are on stage together, and the scene between Mrs. G & Blair concerning Geri. James28 04-12-2010, 01:33 AM http://www.valuedlives.com/images/geri.jpg How is Geri Jewell able to stand up like that? Normally, people affected by cerebral palsy all their life are usually confined to a wheelchair or have to use crutches, but Geri maintains her strength through excercises, jogging, biking, and playing video games. (I don't know if a 50+-year-old woman would play video games). If there were a video game based on The Facts of Life, she'd sure love to play such a game. She looks fabulous!!! :) Ian905 08-16-2010, 08:34 PM I always liked Geri. Anyways, to better describe the episode: Cousin Geri comes to Eastland to visit the girls on her way to a show she has that night, but the show gets moved back so she asks Blair if she can go to the dance for something to do. Blair agrees but is worried that Geri won't have a date. While Blair and the girls are in an other room, Geri gets talking with their French teacher and he asks her to the dance. Blair is delighted to hear this, but Geri confesses that's shes a little nervous since it's their first date. However, Geri and the French teacher have a great time at the dance. Geri gets home and gushes about how much fun she had and how she's falling in love with him. Blair becomes suspicious of the French teachers intentions. She believes he's just doing this out of pity. The French teacher asks Geri out for a trip to the mountains, and Blair assumes he's planning on breaking up with her there. She ends up staying over night in the mountains with out telling anyone. When she gets back Blair is furious at her for not calling and Geri gets mad at Blair for treating her like a child. Blair confronts her about not getting to serious about her first romance, and Geri tells her she has had experiences with guys other then him, and when she said first date she meant her first date with him. Blair realizes Geri can handle herself and the two make up. |
