I wonder if this show could make it to TV One ?
I think it would be a good fit, but would like to hear from some African Americans on the subject. I know several people didn't like the fact that Nell was a housekeeper and thought this was bringing back the "mammy" days or some such bs. Anyone who has seen the show knows that Nell Carter is NO mammy !!
I thoroughly enjoy TV One's airing Good Times and 227. I'm taping all I can since they don't edit the shows and don't talk over and squeeze up the credits. Most episodes of GT run 24:30 to 25:30 without commercials. This is how TVLand started out but then they went down the dumper and started hacking away at shows for more commercials. It's great seeing 227 again as I had not seen it for about 10 years now. Jackee is just hilarious on there. I wish they would get Gimme a Break on as I haven't seen it for about 14 years now and I remember several very good episodes that I would like to see again, although I did feel it lost some of it's appeal when actor Dolph Sweet passed away from cancer. Well, any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chad
