MandieR1980 04-16-2004, 03:50 PM Mine are:
Steel Magnolias
Ghost
A Walk To Remember (I just finished watching it again)
The Neverending Story (When Atreyu loses his horse)
*MIBabe03* 04-16-2004, 04:23 PM I can honestly say that I have never cried during a movie. I know, it's not normal.
PZelda 04-16-2004, 06:03 PM Sleepless in Seattle. :crying:

Saddest thing about it is that it really happened :(

yeah that was very sad. The first thing that comes to my mind when that movie gets mentioned is "Match in the gas tank boom boom" LOL
I always get a bit misty-eyed during The Lion King when Mufasa dies (shut up!).

aww me too! I always cry in Gladiator and Cast Away
Nighthawk76 04-16-2004, 10:28 PM I know this might sound like an odd one, but I always get a bit misty eyed during the end of Carrie. The poor girl tries so hard to fit in at school and not only does she get a bucket of pig's blood dropped on her, but her mother stabs her in the back-literally. I always feel so bad fo her.

OMG...I watched that in the car on the portable DVD player for the first time a few weeks ago and I was hysterical. I mean I was a bawling idiot. I think that and A Walk to Remember were the most tearful movies for me. But really, I'm a VERY emotional person, it doesn't take a lot to get me to cry in movies. In the first ever episode of Alias, her fiance dies and I'm literally hysterical for 10-15 minutes...but Jennifer Garner's such a great actress, who could blame me?
;)
And AKA, I cry in the Lion King too ;)
Oh! And another big one is Lilo and Stitch, oh lordy, that movie got me.

I LOOOOOVE Sleepless in Seattle. I don't know how many times I've watched it since it came out in 1993. I ALWAYS start crying every time Jonah calls that lady - then you see Annie listening to Jonah on the radio...*sniffle* I need to watch that movie again. I don't think I've watched it since November or December 2003.
david&maddie4ever 04-16-2004, 11:35 PM I got teary-eyed at the end of Big Fish. God, that movie was great. :biglove:
At the moment, I'm in the middle of watching The Thorn Birds, and the end of that kills me...as well as the beginning and middle. :o

There were so many parts of SIS that I sniffled at, but that one scene was the biggest part I cried at. :crying:

Two scenes that get to me every time: When Father Ralph is talking to Fe, and she breaks down. And then when she tells him that she tries to forget she has a daughter. It made me sad and angry at the same time. But what really gets me going is right toward the end, when Meggie and Justine are talking about Dane. It's touching and heartbreaking at the same time. :crying:
phoebe7165 04-24-2004, 10:16 PM Oh, God, THE COLOR PURPLE, every single time!! First when Mister kicks Nettie out, then when Shug reunites with her father, then, lastly when Celie reunites with Nettie and meets her kids for the first time since they were taken away from her. I start crying even before the scenes start!! Let the floodgates open.
And the waterworks start for me at the end of ET when ET put his finger on his heart and says Ouch and Elliot does the same thing back to him.
I am such a sucker for the weepers!

In total agreement with everything you've just said. :(

Oh, man...the scene with Meggie and Jussie is really a killer. :(
The one that gets me the most is, of course, the final scene. :crying: I was seriously sobbing for like 15 minutes after it was over. :o Another bad one is the scene in the garden with Ralph and Meggie after Paddy and Stu's funeral. :crying:
Brian 04-24-2004, 11:58 PM I just remembered another one. The end of Cocoon. I was in tears after the movie was over.
Jrnygrl 04-25-2004, 04:22 PM Ghost, Forrest Gump, The Color Purple. :crying:
Thinking about it makes me want to cry now. :( :(

Oh my gosh, that was very hard to watch (after Paddy and Stu's funeral). That one and the final scene.. the first time I saw that (when it originally aired on ABC), I couldn't stop crying. :(
I just thought of another one: When Mary Carson goes upstairs to her room with Ralph, and she asks him to kiss her. Watching her reaction, the way she can't bear to keep her feelings inside any longer. All of that pent-up anger and passion, and bitterness. That was when I felt for her.
