I was just thinking about him the other day. For those of you who are new or those of you who are going:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: Rainman was the most infamous member here for a longtime. He eventually got banned. I personally liked Nate. Then he got way out of hand.
I wonder what ever became of him? I bet he still obseeses over K-mart.I wonder if even though he can't post ,he still checks out the boards? Or if he ever comes back? Or if he comes back under different names? Any suugestions of what became of Nate?????

Rainman certainly was an interesting fellow.
I bet he probably drops in from time to time to check things out.

Yeah, occassionally I wonder too about that- it's like a morbid fascination. Someone track him down and get him back for a day or something!

I must admit I'm a little nostalgic for the old Rainman days.

Nate definitely made things more interesting around here.

I never saw the comments that got him banned (they were edited by the time I got there) but I heard what he had said.
I think coming back under aliases didn't help his cause to be re-instated.

It would be humorous if he was ever allowed to come back, and I bet if he is reading these posts he is getting a kick out it.

I think though, he's banned completly and cant even read the boards because he often asks me whats going on in SO.

Like Kaitlyn said, he's pretty much the same. He was in a chat with us, he was being his old, horny self.

He told us he DESPERATLY misses talking to someone at these boards. That person shall remian nameless, but he just went on and on and on about this person, because they either blocked him or changed their name and didn't tell him.

He also went to another board, started talking about the same stuff he talked about here, and got himself banned.

Actually he works at Wal-Mart now. He went in for a job interview at Kmart but apparently he wasn't hired.

Hey all, sorry about the long wait to update my page. Here are some interesting things that has happened:

I transferred to the Boone Wal-Mart #1389 February 22, 2004 and have been there a month today.

My brother lost his license (joy!)

A New Subway opened up in Boone (There are now two in Boone, and Boone is 13,000 people.)

I had to stay at Super 8 Motel in Boone for the first time ever last Monday due to that late winter snowstorm which melted two days later. By myself in a motel room, endless possibilities.

Welcome To Big Kmart!

I have loved Kmart ever since I was wee small. My first word was Kmart. From when I said that word, I knew that I was going to do something that had to do with Kmart.

It all started with the Kmart at the top of the hill in Carroll, IA. Though it has moved to a new location more than ten years ago, it still stands there today. Right at the interesection of US HWY 30 and 71. Back in the 80s all we had were Pamida, Alco, and Kmart. There wasn't an Alco in Carroll but there was a Pamida and a Kmart.

The new Kmart WAS better though. It was the 10th Kmart store ever to have the new logo on the building. The first one was in Beatrice, NE. It featured a Portrait Studio, Little Caesar's Pizza Station, Garden Shop, and a Pharmacy. That Kmart was a gold mine. Carroll is only 10,500 people and it has a very nice Kmart. Hell, it's Kmart is bigger and better than some other towns like Fort Dodge, Clive, Webster City, or Clinton. By the way, those four towns I just mentioned were all in Iowa.

In 1998, Big Kmart came to Carroll. It did seem bigger. I don't know how they fitted that Pantry into that store. They also did that with Fort Dodge's Kmart and their's is more than 30 years old. Olan Mills Portrait Studio Introduced themselves into our local Kmart in 1998. Carroll's new improved Big Kmart welcomed us November 24, 1998. It was very nice. Nicer than other Kmart stores.

In 2001, for my college prep class, I job shadowed that Kmart in Carroll, Iowa. They were very friendly and glad to take me in. They said with my enthusiasm, I would be one of the best Kmart employees ever to walk the face of this Earth. Of course, I got an A on that project.

But there's a problem. Kmart in Carroll said they would gladly hire me for a checker (my #1 priority for a job right now) if I filled out an application, but my parents think that 30 miles is a ways away for me to be working. They like me where I am now at the slums of Jim's SuperValu. Everyone except maybe 5 or 6 people are total *******s. I hate working at Jim's.

Here I have below are some pictures of Kmart stores. If I find my Kodak picture cd I will give you a tour of the Kmart in Carroll. When I get my new kodak picture cd (3-1-02) I will show you around the Kmart in Fort Dodge, IA, which sadfully is one of the five Kmart stores that closed in Iowa since Kmart filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in Late January 2002.

The four Iowa stores that closed either on Memorial Day or the Monday AFTER Memorial Day in 2002 were:

Clinton (Where was this Kmart again? I've never been to it.)

Des Moines (SE 14th Street/US 69) (I got to see this store after it closed. It looks all stripped and run down....like a building you would see in New York)

Fort Dodge (From what I've heard Staples has bought the Kmart building, but I don't think they really did....just a rumour.)

Spencer (Haven't heard who is buying this building yet.)

I should go there and camp outside one of the stores until he comes by. haha. then i could take a tour of his everyday life for even more laughs.

i showed his site to my brother and his friend a while ago. i was laughing the whole time and they told me i was disturbed :grr:

Some of his posts were amusing alright but the guy definitely needed help. BTW I always wondered if he ever managed to come up with the money to go to England and meet the cast of Last of the Summer Wine.
