There were no other characters his age and he just didn't fit on the show. Who's idea was it too add him? Atleast if the Ropers had a little kid living with them the David character would have made more sense.

The reason why there was a David on "The Ropers" is because they were being true to "George & Mildred". Their neighbors had a son, also. Anyway, I liked little Evan. They actually gave the kid some good lines in the episodes I have seen recently, and he did well with them.

I totally agree with you RetroTVCollector. The David character was pointless. They never should have had him on the show. I never could stand him.

I didn't like David because I didn't see the Ropers as a Family Show
