I used to always wonder, "How old was she"? I know it's only a show, but... I can't help it. Even though hers (and Florida's) ages were never given, I figure she was around 44.

Her exact age was mention by James in the two part episode when J.J girlfriend Diane was using drugs, Willona was talking to Thelma about the senior prom and she used a year that was not accurate and then James said to be exact, IT WAS THE SUMMER of 1949. So if she was 17 going on 18 in 1949, her exact age on the show was 43 years old when the show started, and 48 years old when the show ended.

imdb.com says janet dubois was born in 1945 which I find hard to swallow. I could believe Willona was fortysomething but the actress couldn't have been so young in real life.

Yeah that's true. It was said that She was 30 years old when Good Times premeired in 1974

Imdb.com has made errors about people's ages. I don't know what sources they use.

I'm having trouble believing that Janet Dubois was 30 years old in February of 1974.

I don't know about Ms.DuBois,but Willona suppossedly went to school with Florida(right?) and was suppossed to be the same age...I always thought she was a good 10 years younger than Florida...
