Lucy once told Joan Rivers on The Tonight show that she had been asked, along with other prominent Hollywood superstars to send shows to be put in a time capsule to be buried at the corner of Sunset and Vine, Lucy sent the Baby episode of I Love Lucy as it had always been her favorite, which one would you have sent? I vote for L A A t Last!

So what happened to the time capsule? When is it supposed to be opened?? I would have taken as first choice 'The Handcuffs'; then 'The Baby' and/or 'Hollywood Anniversary':)

Lucy unfortunately noted that eventually, the WHOLE block got torn down, so the time capsule was dredged out . . . maybe in the sewer near Van Nuys, some lucky fan has all these original master tapes and he's selling them on the internet. Who knows?

I think every fan has ONE episode that they never tire of, one that they've LOVED for years. Lily Tomlin liked the Ballet one, Bette Midler preferred the Chocolate factory, so did Jenna Elfman. Sentimental ones like the Baby show, Lucy included. A consensus of fans recently chose Vitameatavegamin. Lucy herself once told Joan Rivers that teh ones fans mentionned the most to her over the years were the Chocolates, the grapes and Vita, although job switching cannot be forgotten. Me it's L A A t Last because i think the Hollywood eps are the best, and to have Lucy Ricardo FINALLY among her idols in Hollywood was hysterical. I'd say the favorite scenes were the restaurant with the spaguetti, face to face with Bill, then the nose on fire yes definitely but the whole show was tops from start to finish, no wonder the writers were nominated fo rhte Emmy and she probably won hers for that one also.
