View Full Version : Unaired eps in the UK

Do you know that Nick UK have NEVER aired Jessie's Song? Not once...the only way I managed to see it at all was illegally downloading it from Kazaa....to be able to see Jessie's Song properly on a nice TV screen was my main reason for buying the DVDs.

Nick UK also only aired the No Hope With Dope episode once. I guess they thought it was too risky (don't ask me how an episode of a show that warns kids about the dangers of drugs is a bad thing) but at least I managed to tape it.

The also haven't aired (ever) the episodes Running Zack and Earthquake. I know Earthquake is the ep where Mrs Belding has a baby in an elevator after a quake and running Zack is where a teacher dies...

What bothers me is they don't air these eps of SBTB, but they air an episode of Sabrina The Teenage Witch that has a graphic refrence to "spanking" and others that talk about sex quite heavily for a teen/pre teen show that's aired on a channel aimed at kids. They also air the Gilmore Girls which is fairly adult for a channel like Nick sometimes. Nick UK are really screwed up with their (lack of) logic. It bothers me to no end that they don't air these four episodes but air other shows that have 'worse' stuff in them. It's just so stupid.

No, a teacher doesn't die in RUNNING ZACK. It was a friend of the teacher that was teaching a class.

I was talking to someone about this a few months ago, and he also told me about these episodes never/rarely being aired. I am kind of surprised considering that "SBTB" never tried to be controversial, it was just trying to get a few points across (once in a while) in a innocent manner.

He mentioned that NickUK doesn't air the following eps regularly:
-"Jessie's Song"
-"No Hope With Dope"
-"Drinking and Driving"

I wonder if these episodes will be banned if "SBTB" ever airs on N@N.

Hmm...Probably not. I wouldn't think so anyways. I think our Nick would realize anybody watching it would've seen the episodes on TBS and NBC beforehand...

I also think they would air those episodes. After all, Nick does air Roseanne, which had many controversial moments throughout the series.

That's also VERY true. ;)

...But they also banned several "Facts of Life," and a "Three's Company" episode(s) which weren't quite banning-worthy just like the "SBTB" episodes mentioned above.

I can see Three's Company, but the Facts of Life? Which episodes?

True, but it seems that since they got Roseanne, they haven't been as strict with that.

-"Drinking and Driving" I forgot about that one but your correct, Nick UK has never aired that episode either.

Thank heavens for the DVDs! Even though I have to get the imported from the US I'm so thrilled about them. Hopefully the second boxset (and possibly third if their is one) will include all the episodes.

I just wish Good Morning, Miss Bliss (which I've never seen) and the College Years (which I love but only have on video tape) were getting DVD releases too.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I think they even aired the infamous masturbation episode! :D

Hopefully they have plans to do that. It would be cool if NBC released GMMB/College Years episodes in one DVD set.
