I read THAT 85 was the year that the network started airing old sitcoms. I bet N@N was a lot better back then because

It was no Cosby Show in Syndication
No Wings in syndication
No Roseanne
No Full House.

Anyone remember what N@N lineup looked in 1985?

I remember The Donna Reed Show and Dennis The Menace. I also remember Mr. Ed on N@N but don't remember if that was 1985 or a little later.

it wasn't anything special, Nick seemed to have about 5 movies and they aired them every week. I remember they used to have "Topper" and "His Girl Friday" on all the time.

I think Nick @ Nite circa 1988 may have been it at it's best when it came to 50's and 60's shows. I think about 1998 was it's best with 70's shows. Since they added 80's to their lineup, it's been in freefall because they let their schedule become defined by certain series (Cosby and Roseanne predominantly) instead of mixing up 8-12 shows a night like they used to and not really showing favortism to any specific series.

This is what you would have wanted N@N to air right? I doubt that N@N showed only two shows, with one being on 19 times a day. I've never seen the show That's My Mama, but geez, that's way too many times to air just one show in a single day. Unless it's a special one time marathon or something like that. No, one show, should air all day, everyday, no matter what the show is.

Psst. It's called a "sense of humor." Pass it on.

Well then put a smiley, if you were trying to be funny. Trying getting a sense of humor instead of being a smart aleck and writing comments like "Psst. It's called a sense of humor, pass it on." You didn't have to smart off, all you had to do is reply and simply say that you were joking--(and say that in a nice way).

I have a question for everyone (besides Jen1989) who happened upon my That's My Mama post: who didn't know it was a joke?

A couple of years ago boeschner posted the Nick at Nite schedules from 1985 to the present. You have to download it to your computer. I'll say this, when I first looked at it, I was surprised at some of the shows they aired.

He also compiled something similar, the WTBS Log, which listed the schedules of TBS from 1980 onward.

If you spend any time at all reading Solomon's posts...you'd have to know it was a joke.

More like a nightmare schedule. ;)

ETA: I like the original schedule with The Donna Reed Show and Dennis the Menace. Both shows are pretty good, IMO.
