you think I suck? I think you suck too!!!

Outside of Three's Company and Happy Days, I'd rather watch paint dry than any of the shows you champion as well.

How the hell do you hate Roseanne if you like Cosby and Married With Children? Roseanne was produced by the same guys who produced Cosby and the show was in many ways a hybrid of the two shows. The fact you hate South Park shows you just hate anything current, that show is as much a political/social satire of the Clinton and Bush eras as All In The Family was to the Nixon and Ford eras. The creators even consider Cartman "the closest thing to Archie Bunker you'll find on tv today". If AITF was to premiere today, it'd be similar to South Park.

You are probably in the minority with hatred of Friends and Sex And The City, considering the memorials those shows have gotten when going off the air. So apparently a lot of people did like those shows.

If you're such a Three's Company fan, you oughta know that apparently John Ritter HIMSELF thought that Buffy and Ally McBeal were good enough to guest-star on. He even appeared in a documentary on the Buffy season 2 DVD talking about his appearence in one episode and how much he enjoyed it.

you can bash my taste all you want, but once again, with the exception of Three's Company and Happy Days, I don't exactly think your taste is that impeccable either.

South Park.... its alright, but not one of my faves (still think its funny though)
Buffy.... never really got into it
Friends.... ill give it this.... its a good show.... but i still dont like it, at all
Charmed.... same as buffy
Facts Of Life.... one of my 5 favorite sitcoms, easily the best on the list
Roseanne.... great show, airs too much
Ellen.... it was good until it became about her being a "lesbian", her coming out was probably the biggest episode, but when EVERY episode was about her being gay -- the joke got old, fast.
Sex And The City.... blah
Ally McBeal.... some episodes were good, but I would never buy it on DVD

I agree totally, Ellen really went downhill after the Puppy Episode. I love the first 4 seasons but that last season was atrocious. I understand where Ellen was coming from and why she came out, but it got too much when every episode revolved around "Ellen comes out to her mailman", "Ellen realizes her grocery store clerk is homophobic", etc.. I think she could've still had a funny show post-out and not let it define the series. Plus, the show had a great ensemble and once the show became "Ellen gay this... Ellen gay that", it robbed the others of screen time, when we grew to like Audrey, Paige, Spence and Joe as much as Ellen herself.

With Ally McBeal, I'd only purchase the first 2 seasons on DVD. That was a prime example of a series that peaked early and died a painful death. Billy's death was the straw that broke the series' back. It rebounded slightly in season 4 but once Anne Heche, Robert Downey Jr and especially Lisa Nicole Carson (who'd been with the show since day one) left, the show plummetted to the abyss and the only decent episode the entire last season was the series finale.
