Thanks Ags2000 09-17-2001, 02:48 PM Yes, it is just late today. Don't forget she does not post on the weekends. It is usually posted by 10 am central time. I guess things got busy this weekend or something. Not to worry though, I'm sure it will be up soon. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif D StrudelBone 09-17-2001, 02:51 PM Thanks Dannielle! September 17, 2001 September 16, 2001 Wow! What a week. For those of you who have suffered directly, please understand that just because I am continuing with the Coffee Talk journal entries today doesn’t mean that we will forget your pain. We will continue to pray for you and our country. For those of you who are scared and feel, understandably, insecure, I want to share with you words of comfort that I read today in Isaiah chapter 54: 11 “O storm-battered city, troubled and desolate! I will rebuild you on a foundation of sapphires and make the walls of your houses from precious jewels. 12 I will make your towers of sparkling rubies and your gates and walls of shining gems. 13 I will teach all your citizens, and their prosperity will be great. 14 You will live under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away; you will live in peace. Terror will not come near. 15 If any nation comes to fight you, it will not be because I sent them to punish you. Your enemies will always be defeated because I am on your side. 16 I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. 17 But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you will succeed. And everyone who tells lies in court will be brought to justice. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!” I don’t presume to know whether God wrote these words of comfort for a generation farther down the road than ours or, specifically for us today, or both. I am assured that we, as servants of the Lord, are included in these words of hope written to Jerusalem and we will find our vindication and peace from the Lord. And that is the kind of timeless comfort that can heal our broken hearts and nation. On a considerably smaller scale, last week was also a big week up here in Toronto. We have completed our first week of filming on “The Facts of Life” reunion movie. I can’t begin to tell you how much fun it is to be together with Mindy, Kimmie and Charlotte. I will go into much greater detail in the succeeding daily journal entries but I have little space left today and a big week to talk about so I will have to talk in shorthand. On Tuesday, I was getting a manicure and a pedicure, (hey, it’s all part of the job), when I heard the terrible news. I spent the rest of the day getting my hair colored for the show. (By the way, the producers finally decided that Blair should remain a blonde.) Talk about a priority check, I’m worrying about nail and hair color while America is under attack. I had my first day of filming on Wednesday. I was very nervous, but I’m getting back into the groove with each day. I love the character of Blair. She is so much fun to play. We are filming at this humongous home in the ritzy part of Toronto. It is the setting for “The Little Inn at Peekskill”, one of the hotels that Blair and Tad own. I brought Haven and Clancy with me the first two days because Steve was still in Pennsylvania with Tucker. On Friday, I took Tucker with me to the set. The kids are enjoying watching their mommy in a totally new environment. And I’m enjoying having them with me. After having worked a fourteen-hour day on Friday I was looking forward to a restful weekend. Now I’m looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow so I can get some rest! I’m convinced more than ever that being a mommy is one of the toughest jobs on the planet! Of course, it doesn’t help any that Tucker is sick with a sore throat, (and a real grumpy bear!) Clancy is coughing constantly and can barely get any rest because of it, (actually, none of us can get much rest because of it.) And Steve pulled his back out and can only go from the chair, to the Epson salt bath, to the bed, to the chiropractor, to the massage therapist, and back to CNN. We were suppose to take Haven to the airport on Saturday so that she could fly home and spend a week with her best friend but, obviously, we decided to keep her safely under our wings. We were also supposed to drive to Buffalo, NY so that I could sign 1,000 of my new books to send out to the many of you who ordered it over the website. But due to Steve’s back condition and the long lines at the borders, we have had to postpone that until next Saturday. I’m very sorry, but I knew you would understand. Tucker just came in here, he is feeling miserable and he is convinced that what would make him feel better is for me to make him a bowl of cereal. (It tastes so much better when Nurse Mom prepares it.) Clancy is hacking her head off in the next room. Haven just asked if she could put herself to bed. It’s only 7:00 and that worries me a lot! And it’s time for me to change Steve’s ice pack. I better get back to work. (I mean that both ways.)
