guys i got a new computer...! yes! its all tricked out and hooked up to the max.... anyway i got a dvd burner in it and a av imput.. basically i can hook my vcr DIRECTLY into the computer. so im getting every single theme i own and i am going to make a website using my comcast server space. ill have a constant page where everyone can go and view the files. i'll also put on there teasers and all that has been lost in the editing room since the original airings i guess. the thing is i gotta actually make a website! so itll all be coming up within a week or so. also if ANYONE has broadband (cable connection) let me know, because i can send u the DVD file or huge MPEG-2 layer file of the themes, so you when you maximized it, it would look as good as a television! i cant wait if anyone wants to help or send me extra teasers, let me know or email me at Dreamgerlx@aol.com

YES... The THEMES WILL BE IN STEREO!! i dont think alot of you experienced the themes in stereo (no they were never in stereo on abc family... TRUST me!)

You got a new computer with a DVD burner. Congratulations! My brother has an IMac with a DVD burner. I don't have it yet, so I can get it for my birthday or I could check it at Best Buy and see what's on sale. Good luck with your computer. You can upload high quality versions on the extended intros from seasons 3,4,6 and 7 of "Full House" instead of that lousy webcam or maybe soon you will be set up a home page full of "Full House" original stuff. Good luck!:D

I'll happily receive the themes from you :)

By the way, web space might be a little restrictive because those MPEG2 files, especially really high bitrate encoded ones, could take a lot of space.

Have you thought about using BitTorrent to transfer the files?

But anyway, I'll happily accept any material from you... teasers, intros, even full episodes if that ever becomes feasible. Maybe I could even send you blank DVDs and postage, and you could make some DVDs for me. Well, we'll see.

By the way, if you can somehow get the audio from the themes in an uncompressed format like WAV, you could use a lossless compression codec like FLAC, and then have really high quality audio files.

And by the way, welcome back :)

BitTorrent is an advanced system of distribution for large files. It works like this:

1) You find the files you want to share. You then download a BitTorrent client, and create a "torrent" file. This "Torrent" file is a small text file that contains information about the files you want to share.

2) You put up the "torrent" file for download, and people download it. Then, they load the torrent file into their own BitTorrent program, and they start downloading from you. Every person downloads a different piece from you. When those people download their different pieces, others than start downloading those pieces from them.

It's kind of hard to explain, but basically, it's like AIM trading but much more avanced.

It's a bit difficult to set up and understand initially, but then it works great. Unfortunatly, you'll have to be providing all of the upload speed when the file first starts. But you can first send the complete file to a few people, and then we could all start the share.

Here's a Seinfeld website that uses torrent distribution:

Sam's Girl: Do you need the teaser of the season eight episode "We Got the Beat?" If so, I have it and can digitize it and donate it for you. :)

As for photo-editing programs, you can use Adobe PhotoShop. Adobe's website lets you download a free 30-day trial, and there used to be a way for PhotoShop 6 where when you install it, you had to choose a different folder (rather than the default location) so you would be able to save your files. At one time (not sure if it's still in effect now) installing the trial on a different location would allow to save files. Because usually the trial doesn't allow that. Sort of like bypassing. Let me know if you need more info or a better explanation. ;)

tgc225: This "BitTorrent".... it sounds a lot like a p2p program such as Kazaa or Morpheus. Also, how would one convert the file extensions into valid .mpg or .mov? :)

It is a lot like current P2P programs. The reason it's better is that each torrent file is almost like a self-contained file sharing program in itself. When you start it, you instantly conntect to everyone, and sharing begins immediatly, and everyone only shares that file.

I use it all the time on this website:

http://www.sharingthegroove.org/msgboard/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=17

This website is for trading all non-commercial audio (mostly live shows taped by people in the audience). If you look at the posts, you'll see that there are hundreds of posts a day, it's really popular :)

But yeah, samsgirl, if you need help, I might be able to do it. Seems like a great computer too :) Here's my current setup, I have a computer I built myself, and it's open now because I put in the TV tuner recently, and I broke a few hinges on the front panel :(

And yep, that's a record player too :) I'm converting some of my parent's old records to digital format.

I have a record player at home with all of my albums. I converted from records, cassettes and 8-track tapes to make a CD.:) That's how I'm going to make.
