Yep, Mama's Family pulled off the upset and won over Cheers 13-11. Family Ties also won.

It is Family Ties v. Mama's Family for the 80s crown and the chance to go to the Final Four. I don't know which I am voting for yet since both are my two favorite shows. I'm torn.:eek: So far I think Mama is winning 2-1.

Family Ties was corny, generic and unfunny.

Mama's Family was hiiiilaaaarious!

I can't see how Mama's Family could possibly win over Cheers... I don't like Cheers at all buts its odd that it would lose to some 80s show that most casual people don't even know about...

I haven't voted yet. I could vote for Mama and make it a tie. I think I will vote for Mama. If I could only have one show forever and ever I would pick Mama's Family, so that is the show I should vote for.

I just went and voted for Mama. It was a painful choice, but I chose Mama, so now...

Somebody is trying to suggest that voter irregularities are taking place. They cite that 2 members just registered today and that Miss Vicki is really February 29... 2 votes are involved for Mama's Family, while one mystery member voted for Family Ties. I wonder what will happen. Why does this crap keeping popping up about Miss Vicki being February 29...?

I know first hand that Family Ties is a terrible, terrible show so even if there are some people cheating, they're all doing it for the right cause.

Family Ties is not a terrible, terrible show. I almost voted for it. Either show will be a great 80s representative.

Only two votes are in question for Mama and 1 for Family Ties. Two members happened to register on the exact day that they posted their choices--one for Mama and one for Family Ties.

That is me. I consider both my two favorite shows, but I like Mama just a bit more. It was a very difficult decision for me to chose, but I choose Mama. I also watch it more often and laugh more at it.

I love Family Ties, too - I used to watch it all the time when I was in, erm...9th grade? I think? (1999/2000) It used to be in the 7AM (Central) slot for a while on TBS -- before they moved Mama's Family on there, around my 10th grade year (2000-01). I was soooo mad when they took it off TBS! :mad: That weekday 7AM slot on TBS is SO cursed. It's had, oh I don't know, 5-8 TV show changes in the last 2 years or so. ohno: Funny how the 6AM slot on TBS is never cursed...Saved By The Bell has been in that friggin' slot since my 8th grade year, and that was almost 6 years ago. :eek:

Sorry....[/rant] I got a little carried away there, lol. Back on subject, though...I love FT too but haven't been able to watch it as much since they took it off TBS. I know it's on TVL and stuff, but I always forget when it's on. :lol:

I know about TBS mornings. Now at 8am (7 central) they show a movie until the 10:00am show starts. Who watches a whole two hour movie that early in the morning? Looks like to me they would do better with sitcoms in that time period. Oh, well.

What do you think about Mama's Family next stop? Will it stay in the 6e/5c time slot for a good while or get moved or get taken off the network? I wish it would be moved to the 7e/6c time slot.

It looks like Mama's Family will win against Family Ties unless a lot of new action takes place tomorrow. I hope the thread stays buried since we are winning. It also looks like the 80s winner will go up against the 90s/2000s winner which will be The Wonder Years. I think we can definately beat that show. Then on to the championship!

SBTB is still in the friggin' 6AM slot? COME ON, TBS. Give it a break already. Not that I hate it or anything - I actually have the SBTB Season 1/2 DVD, but give it a break. Take it off the 6am and 11am slots...PLEASE. You got 6 years to play it on TBS, now give another show a chance.

Ha...I'm not even awake until 9am or so (on MWF's). On TR's, I get up at 10 or 10:30. :D Yeah...who wants to watch a movie so early in the morning, anyway?

Well, Mama's Family has been in the 5am slot since April 2003, so I think it'll def. remain in that timeslot for a while now. I'd like to see it back in the 7am or even 8am Central slot. That'd be cool.
