-Wings Stunt
Monday, May 17, 2004
10:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. ET/PT
Episodes TBA

Maybe it's doing well at 3 in the morning.

My only fear is that it's a Farewell Wings Marathon.

The thread is still closed until he gets the exact episodes for the marathon.

About the title for this thread, I was afraid Pavanbadal would get upset if I made an official "Wings Marathon in May" type of title. Since he didn't post it here, yet.

While it COULD be a "Farewell" marathon, I highly doubt it, being that NICK just started a new cycle (which they would have to complete before NICK's rights run out)....

I think what it COULD be is a case of NICK "testing the waters" for an earlier "Wings" time slot.

Let's face it, NICK doesn't really have any powerhouse shows right now. "Full House" pretty much laid an egg, "Cosby" has been played to death, and even "Roseanne"'s excitement has died down after the initial hype.

Even being shown at 3 AM, "Wings" has STILL maintained a super-high level of loyalty and devotion among it's fans...and there are quite a few of us out there!

Maybe NICK is realizing this and considering giving the gang from Nantucket another (and BETTER) chance....I certainly hope so!

No, it's not a farewell marathon because it is still listed at 3-4am everynight after this marathon. Actually, Nick@Nite is doing its best EVER right now. Full House has impressed everyone from 9-10, averaging over 2 million viewers, which is great for basic cable in primetime. Cosby and Roseanne also are high rated, so basically 9pm-1am is untouchable right now.

A "Wings" marathon in May? Awesome! :D I've been hoping for exactly this kind of thing lately. As much as I've come to love the show, I have to admit I'm getting kind of sick of having to stay up till 4AM to see it! LOL

 I'm glad it's not a farewell marathon. Although, I do think Wings would be perfect for the ABC Family Channel instead ;)

I don't undertstand ABC Family. They call themselves a family channel and then show movies like "Office Space." I love Office Space, but it's not a movie I'd watch with my kids. (I know I don't having any, I'm just saying...) And every freakin' original movie has to be a romantic comedy.

As for "Wings", ABC Family also doesn't show ending credits. So we'd be screwed out of that. That's the one thing that bugs me about "Boy Meets World." I love that show, but thinking of ABC Family taking away the ending credits upsets me. Hopefully they'll show the original opening credits though. But the difference between BMW and Wings is that BMW is coming to DVD. Wings, as of now, is not.

  I hope they show them for BMW, cause there are some pretty great stuff during some of the end credits for the show, during certain seasons, the episodes wouldn't work without those :(

BMW DVD

Maybe its a One Year Anniversary event.

Theres too many episodes -- but I was thinking that it could also be a Cheers/Wings crossover marathon.
Maybe because the whole Cheers/Wings/Frasier "epic" ends in May.

Maybe people are just suddenly interested in N@N.... no matter what they play.
I think N@N is being stubborn by only playing 3 shows over 4 hours.

Actually, it's a house building marathon, lol.

Ever want to build your very own sitcom home? Well, here's your chance to learn with this Modern Classic instructional guide provided by Nick@Nite. Follow the cast of Wings as they burn down their old house, select an architect, design their new house, hire a contractor, begin construction, and then burn down another house all over again. Tune in Monday, May 17th from 10pm to 1:30am for our very own Extreme Makeover: Wings Edition!

LOL it's about time Wings got a marathon, it's been almost a year since the original one. Does this mean they won't air their precious Cosby show that night? :)

Don't tell Losthighway that the storyline he hates the most about "Wings" is getting it's own marathon. ;)

Plus, Lowell wasn't in those episodes. :(

Yes, I agree...If NICK is trying to attract new "Wings" fans, airing those "Burning Down The Houses" episodes sure isn't the way to do it!

I will give NICK credit in that at least they're giving SOME thought to the marathon by giving it a theme!

I was hoping I'd finally get to see Joe and Helen's wedding since I missed it last time around, but I guess that's not happening LOL.

As for the house burning down storyline, I think it was OK when Brian and Casey did it to Joe Helen, but when Joe and Helen did it, that was a bit much LOL. But it wasn't too bad.

It would have been nice to see the Wingless episodes in the marathon. Also Black eye affair, and the two xmas episodes n@n never shows.

That's my absolute least favorite storyline too. The whole burning down the houses thing was really idiotic, IMHO. Oh well, at least N@N is finally giving the show another marathon.

I agree! I have seen the "Wingless" episodes, because it was on the first time around that I was taping, but then they haven't shown it since then! So they should show those episodes again for people who have never sen them before.
and I'd love it if they showed "Black Eye Affair" and the Christmas episodes that they've never shown because I've never seen those!!
