How could Kramer afford a New York City Apartment? When the rent was several hundred dollars or more a month with no job to speak of.

I think it was understood that Kramer always had a scheme going although we seldom saw any of them succeed.

I forget exactly what George said about Kramer, but it was something along the lines of, "The guy doesn't work, dates beautiful women and falls ass backwards into money."

Hey Teddy - Take a look back through the thread topics, there have been a few prior threads about Kramer making money, seems to be a popular question that pops up every couple of months in here. Bottom line - its a sitcom so it doesn't have to be logical, and probably wouldn't be all that funny if it was. ;)

Janice - you basically have it right, the quote by George was

"Kramer goes to a fantasy camp. His whole life is a fantasy camp.
People should plunk down two-thousand dollars to live like him for a week. Do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating; that's a fantasy camp."

Kramer's apartment was also under some kind of rent control, can't find the reference, but I'm pretty sure his rent was dirt cheap. (Remember when Elaine was trying to get The Apartment in J's building, it was $400).

I frequently get the feel he inherited money, like the "fall backwards into $" quote.

There is lists of all their jobs (http://www.geocities.com/rraattbbooyy/docs/newfaq.html#3.5) on TheNewsGuy(Mike)'s site (http://membres.lycos.fr/tnguym/index.html) or how does Kramer support himself (http://www.geocities.com/rraattbbooyy/docs/newfaq.html#3.2)

Thanks for posting that quote. So very true of Kramer, and I recall George said it in his typical insane fashion.
