I didn't like how Jennifer Tilly played a different character than the one she played on Cheers. I mean madcap Fraise almost married her for crying out loud.

I know!! She should have played Candy!! lol and they just happened to meet at the bar. Madcap Fraise would have been sad to see this episode.

And it is not like Jennifer Tilly played a completely different character from Candy. They were both air head floozies. lol

Somehow I feel that they will both be in the finale.

I mean.... why on earth would Frederick miss his grandfather's wedding??
And even though they never really liked eachother.... wouldnt Martin invite Lilith as well??

I kept waiting for Frasier to realize that he had dated and almost married this girl before. I mean it was 18 years ago, but Tilly's ditsy personality hasn't changed in that time, so why not make her the same character? The only thing worse than two or more actors playing the same character in a sitcom is one actor playing more than one character and everyone pretending not to notice.

While it would have been better if she'd been Candy, this isn't exactly a new thing with Frasier. Hell, both Martin and Roz were on Cheers as different characters. Sure, Tilly was basically playing the same character with a different name, but things like this happen all too often in sitcoms. I still enjoyed the episode, though I think I enjoyed the Martin/Ronee moments more than the Frasier/Tilly moments.

I still liked the episode, but I also like consistency in sitcoms. Although those two words usually don't go together.

Ah, but with the superb writing we've seen in Frasier. . . .They can pull it off better than most! ;)

That is why I was so disappointed with Jennifer Tilly playing a new character.

Everyone seems to be upset that she played a different character.

Maybe you didnt know this but, on the Season 7 finale of Cheers, (the episode where Rebecca thinks the marriage counselor is hitting on her) the guy that guest starred -- guest starred on the Frasier Season 1 episode - "And The Whimper Is", playing the guy who lost 10 years in a row.

I know its not a big deal -- but its something only a huge cheers/frasier dork would probably catch.

Jennifer Tilly was great. I wish she would do more sitcom work.

She plays the dumb bimbo to perfection. ;)

Anyone ever seen her in The Cat's Meow? She plays famed gossip columnist Lolly Parsons. It's quite a different role for her. She's actually pretty sharp in that movie!

But she wasn't so dumb, was she? She knew that Frasier had feelings for another, so she stepped aside.

What a sweetheart! I'll take her any day!

Nope, noticed the Dr. who rubbed Rebecca's leg on Cheers turn up on Fraze as a SeaB award nominee with the ailing mother;

The yuppie friend of Frasier's who Norm was going to be the interior decorator for turned up on Fraze as a priest!;

Now the Tilly thing;

Frasier not the least bit surprised that a hammy piano player looked just like his father in one of the last episodes of Cheers;

Roz showing up as a reporter, though I don't think Frasier saw her.

I'm sure Niles was on Cheers somewhere as an extra :).
